Greg wrote me back, seems the shirts were delayed/are delayed at the factory. So, it's ok, and I said that to him, also stating it would have been good to let me know this before shipping my order, all this trouble came out of that being neglected.

Since some old troubles with Greg around 1996-1997 I swore I would never deal with Greg again unless he sends payment/product first. So when I was really active with my label these were my terms: Sure you can order whatever you like, but no payment in advance = no product. And Greg was always very slow to send the cash but he eventually would send it. So I never had a problem with this, Greg is a nice guy, but he is so SLOOOOWWWW that I don't buy from him on ebay for example because while I'm willing to wait 1 month to receive a parcel, I am not willing to wait 5-6 months.

So make with my story what you will, that slow style of business = you should expect to have unsatisified customers.

He runs his label this slow way, it is 4 years now I think since he promised a Brocas Helm "Defender of the Crown" vinyl, which was supposed to come out on my label but the band took this release away from me after making a verbal agreement that I would release it. They said "no, we want Greg to do it, he helped the band so much with bringing us to Europe for gigs", "he wants to release it", etc, etc, which I cannot argue with, it is their music after all. But of course there is still no vinyl release yet after all these years and this whole scenario help hammer a nail into the coffin of my label.

Like everyone said: very slow and sometimes sends the wrong items or there are items missing. In the end, he makes up for it, but sometimes you have to wait forever.

And yes, the same with his releases. The BH LP is a good example. Another one: when Solitude Aeturnus released 'Alone', Greg would release it on vinyl a couple of months after. But nothing happened, and we all know how long it's been out. Apparently Eyes Like Snow (Northern Silence) will be releasing it now, according to their latest newsletter.

Thank you for posting this.

I think some of us OLD TIMERS know a differant side of him then what I read here in this thread. Back in the 90's he was known as one of the worst people to deal with.

And I really think he had a lot to do with the reputation that Greece got of being a problem to deal with.

People can change, and hopfully he has, the 90's were a long time ago. But I stopped dealing with him then and haven't since.

That is a REALLY disturbing comic actually. If you look closely where Flash's hand is, you would realize that finding the real guy involves plenty of... crotch-groping?

greg here...
ok,
i was told by some friends for this topic.
like some people say in the forum,
i am not the fastest one (sometimes, not always though).
BUT I NEVER RIPPED OFF SOMEBODY.....
So like i said in miskatonic,
if somebody sends me a mail, and tell me if i owe him something,i will refund him immediately.
i think i still owe this valor cd, to a slovenian or serbian guy, but apart of this i can't recall anything....
sometimes when you deal with a lot of things...sometimes it takes longer,
ok i know it's not an excuse, sorry for this...
Only one thing to say to this guy who said: "he's responsible for Greek people having a bad rumor in the collector's circle":
come and ask the Greek people about me.....Being one of the very very few not selling bootlegs, you may loose money, sometimes suffer from it and delay some parcels, BUT AT LEAST YOU CAN STILL BE THERE, N OT HIDE FROM PEOPLE, AND MOST OF ALL HAVE SOME REALLY GOOD FRIENDS OUT THERE, WHO KNOWS WHAT EAT METAL IS ALL ABOUT...
AFTER ALL IF SOME OF YOU "Collectors" don't appreciate our fast service, you can still buy from those WHO MADE A FORTUNE BY RIPPING HEAVY METAL OFF.......
After all for you it's just a piece of Collectable thing.. not music, and definitely not METAL......
So , now it came back cause of an italian guy, who ordered three cd's from me sometime ago,
i actually sent them to him,
but it seems that either he is an asshole that just wants to get back some 30 euros, or he just didn't receive it for another reason.
In this case he is right, i know how it is to order records and not receive them.... IT HAPPENED TO ME MANY TIMES...
But it's not an excuse to write "you stole my money, and i don't believe you..."
as for no reply for the last 2 weeks, i just had too much work with up the hammers festival (some of you may know this real metal ferstival, some of you just buy rare records to show to your friends and your mother....)
and last week i just wrote back..
IN ANY CASE,
Sorry for this long reply,
LIKE I SAID BEFORE,
EVRYBODY THAT I OWE SOMETHING , Please write to me..
I will refund you immediately,
The rest, just think when you just write bullshit in a forum, think more you are accusing somebody, that may not deserve it....\
enough said, going to look, and masturbate on my rare child saint lp.....still sealed.......
epic metal rules !

I think I was just grabbing the opportunity. Thus the (friendly) happy faces.

(I have nothing against Greg or his doings myself - I have never dealt with him but I own some of his releases with great joy)

You dont seem to get around here much.
So you might not have known who wrote this.
It was me. John Haupt

And what I said was:
" I really think he had a lot to do with the reputation that Greece got of being a problem to deal with.

Do you not recall these times?

I dont think this was a bad thing to say, and I still stand by it.

I've been running about two weeks behind my current orders too, glad to see I'm not the only slacker around :)

Btw Greg, please get back to me when you can, I need to know the status of your pending preorder, thanks.
