I say, let the good times roll. If a good band puts on a good show and some people get the chance to see them, I can't see that it's a problem if they should happen to make some money for it.Witchkiller wrote:One gig is ok but the "let the good times roll"gigs are often the reason for lousy re-unions as we have witnessed the past 13something yeras my friend.mordred wrote:[For some reason, I have a hard time seeing someone making "easy bucks" from playing a small fest like KIT, especially when they have to travel over the Atlantic.

I don't wanna sound provocative or anything, and,NO,by no means i wanna trigger Black Steele's anger off on me but i couldn't agree more with Big Mouth..........big mouth wrote:We're 85 or '86 and EVERYBODY in Metal hate this lousy CO act.... I don't really know what you're about here. Sure "everybody" hated Satan's Host. And Cirith Ungol. And Manilla Road. Lots of bands were regarded as a joke in the 80s but are now big in the underground. So what?Witchkiller wrote:I don't wanna sound provocative or anything, and,NO,by no means i wanna trigger Black Steele's anger off on me but i couldn't agree more with Big Mouth..........big mouth wrote:We're 85 or '86 and EVERYBODY in Metal hate this lousy CO act.... On a different note, the name (Satan's Host) is kind of soiled with the stuff they've been doing recently, though that probably means they shouldn't have used that name.

It's all a matter of different set of ears planted on all of us,i dont understand why 90% of anything considered legendary is thought of as being so,from AC DC and Motorhead to Darkthrone so whatever. All i can do on this is quote Clint Eastwood 'opinions are like ass holes, everybody has one'.
I also think Metal from Hell is the best thing Harry ever sang on,and noone is gonna change my opinion on this.and it's an undisputed fact he's using more of his range on Metal from Hell than ANY other release he;s sang on.

Wow, i just saw that. How did you figure that out? I've been listening to that album for more than 10 years and what i can say about it is that it's simply fuckin' divine. I'm sure i would have told you the same thing if i had heard it in 1986 too.big mouth wrote:We're 85 or '86 and EVERYBODY in Metal hate this lousy CO act.... Don't worry though. I don't understand a lot of things about other people's musical preferences too, but in the end i can't say i give much damn about it. I listen to music only for myself, not for others.

I don't think we're that many. From what i've experienced so far, 1 out of 2 either hates that album or it simply leaves him cold.Witchkiller wrote:the mainstream against Satan's Host.........

To say the least, the Satan's Host album (which is how I like to think of it: "the Satan's Host album" - later crimes against humanity don't count) is an acquired taste. I seriously don't think that more than one in a thousand metal heads could ever actually like that album. And it's not just the production.

I'm disputing it now.
I'd say Titan Force is.
Maybe the range isn't as consistently used as in from high to low or vise-versa but the range is defiantly larger in my mind.
