OnT: I like how when you listen to a thematic compo lots, you start to want to listen to that sequence of songs and only that one, so when you play one of the sources from whence the songs came and you run into one of them, you kinda expect the next song from the compo to follow when it's done! This effect is a big reason for me to keep making compilations, the sort of restructuring of expectation through the new sequence. You can have Nigro Mantia to bring you up, then Kraken to charge you fully and then Hell to give you a direction for all the energy, so on. Whereas when you listen to a single band's sequence of songs on their album, sometimes they hit only one or two moods of their own.
Ion: ach, again the brain confusing small press, independent press, and demo releases. It's not such a big deal, I hope. The Beyond Dawn song comes from an EP as well, not a demo, but it was ment as a demo originally so I don't feel too bad for that!
Thanks for the interest! Please do compilations of your own! If nothing else they act as huge educational sources for me that doesn't know that much about obscure 80's metal as you, to go and find the bands that you feature.
