Black Axe wrote:It is of the same standard, but not all as psych as Bomb Day. It has a really raw sound and the guitar is buried(12 feet under) in the mix.
I read a few online reviews that complained about the poor sound quality of the album, so i don't know whether to part with my hard earned cash for this one, maybe when i'm a bit better off i'll take the plunge. But thank you black axe for the info.
Also thanks to Khnud for recommending Wicked Lady, i've wondered about them, but didn't buy the album as it was on the Kissing Spell label.
I understand from stuff i've read online that Kissing Spell is little more than a bootleg label, and that artists who've found their stuff rereleased on the label have not been paid anything for the use of their music.
So i'll maybe wait for a more official rerelease before giving Wicked Lady a go, but again, thanks for the tip.

Bigfootkit: There's an old vinyl with them as well, featuring a naked chick with a motorbike and a guitar on the cover. It's called "Blow Your Mind". Not sure about the label or legitimacy on this one though.

Yeah, i know the Bang stuff, good band.
Have you heard Falcon's version of "Red Man"?
It almost improves on the original.
I appeciate all the suggestions folks, thanks very much, but does anyone know of any more modern Heavy bands with a psychedelic edge?

Either I missed it, or nobody mentioned Black Hole's "Land Of Mystery". I think there's enough psychedelic elements to include it here as a reccomendation.

Dawnwatcher, possibly? They're not really that metal, but still. Good band.

Yeah it was re-issued. I only have 1 of those left instock.
I also have some 70's heavy psych there, but some of it's might not be what you're looking for.

Mesmerist is quite psychedelic, like Led Zepp on crack (and not like Mercyful Fate at all, as it tends to be misslabeled around the net)
