I think SLAYER's ''Show No Mercy'' or SODOM's ''Persecution Mania'' .The Kill Em All to me is their second best release after ''Ride The Lightning''.

I personnally never considered METALLICA as a Thrash Metal band (even in their early days). They have written a few thrash tunes (Whiplash, Metal Militia) but most of the Kill'em all songs are classic heavy metal (with strong JUDAS PRIEST influences) played with a "punky" attitude.
The ultimate Thrash Metal album is EXODUS "Bonded by Blood".

I must be the only one to consider "Pleasures of the Flesh" as EXODUS proudest moment. Every song on that album simply shreds, the riffs and the rhythms are neckbreaking, devastating. And Zetro Souza is one of my favourite vocalists ever, he dominates Paul Baloff all the way. His vocals in "Death do us Part" are menacing as hell, spinechilling.

I'll top that by calling EXODUS overrated alltogether. I don't think any of their albums would ever make my Thrash top50 list.

Yes, all fucking great. Not familiar yet with Evil Sinner and that Protector thing. Is the latter in the same vein as Golem?

Well that doesn't surprise, since you always seemed to only care for weird thrash albums that aren't any good.

EXODUS-Bonded By Blood is indeed a thrash metal monument!.Definitely in the top 10 of the best ever made.As for what Per-Ola wrote about -Pleasures Of The Flesh- i haven't heard anything else from EXODUS except Toxic Waltz and Cool track which i don't remember now.Steve Souza has indeed great voice but i think i will prefer PaUL for the more brutal vocals.EXODUS is a groundbase for all the Bay Area sound and Movement.

I'm not too fond of the Steve Sousa period.
I recommand their last album "Shovel Headed Kill Machine".
A great album, Exodus at his best !!
