AC/DC , Motorhead - "the song remains the same" is very good description how I feel about their music.

As The Sentinel said, can we consider "Time Does not Heal" as a DARK ANGEL classic ? I don't think so. "We have Arrived" and "Darkness Descends" are a bit overated but can be considered as DARK ANGEL classics.

Could not have said it better.
Without evil there could be no good so it must be good to be evil sometimes.

Jag Panzer - Ample Destruction. I just don't get this one. To me, it sounds like a watered down version of Omen's Battle Cry.

Agree on Reign in Blood and Stained Class

Exodus 'bonded by blood' is kinda 50/50 for me. Drawing a blank on others...

TIME DOES NOT HEAL - BEYOND BRILLIANT!!

I would add Iron Maiden to Stormspell's list (btw, what's up with those Cauldron Born CDs? :D ): Not that AC/DC, Motorhead or Maiden are bad, but they (or at least just Maiden, since I'm not familiar with entire AC/DC and Motorhead discography) are just repeating the same goddamn thing for 25 years ....

hallowed be thy name, hallowed be thy name, halowed be thy naaaaame
fear of the dark, fear of the dark, fear of the daaaaark
seventh son of a seventh son, seventh son of a seventh son, seventh son of a seventh sooon
caught somewhere in time, caught somewhere in time, caught somewhere in tiiiime

really impressive / original, yet thousands of people still list them as their favorite band .... ahh

Totally agree here too, As for Priest I prefer Sin After Sin and Killing Machine more than the revered Stained Class.

Add:

Saxon - Wheels Of Steel

A few killer songs like Stand Up And Be Counted and 747 but the rest is pretty mediocre unlike the amazing Strong Arm that for some reason gets overlooked in favour of Wheels. And lets add Denim And Leather in seriously that has two amazing songs And The Bands Played On and the title track.

Metallica all for me as well this includes Kill 'Em All.

All Kreator releases, The few few raw Sodom releases (I'm digging a deeper grave here haha).

Sorry, I refuse to add to my list neither Iron Maiden nor Cauldron Born! :D

I agree on TIME DOES NOT HEAL - it is fantastic album, their best by far.

I'm not sure how he comes to this conclusion Battle Cry has a much more controlled feeling than Ample Destruction, Harry Conklins vocals were way more over the top than J.D. Kimball's were and I get a completely different feel from both albums.

My thoughts exactly. For me, Omen is partialy about restraint, not having to work things into overdrive to get their point across, whereas Jag Panzer, on Ample Destruction at least, is all about exuberance.

Comparing Jag Panzer with Omen is like comparing a tiger with an eagle..

Celtic Frost!!!

Not too long ago I was in a record store and the staff over there were playing some crappy Metal songs. I was like "Fuck, what kind of shitty Metal is this? Wait... how come it sounds so familiar to my ears? Fuck me, that's 'To Mega Therion' they are playing!!!".

I didn't like Celtic Frost when I 1st heard them. And after so many years now I still don't like them!

OK, you can go ahead and flame me now.

We have discussed something similar in an older thread. Dig a bit and you may find it.

I'm afraid i have to avoid posting anything on this thread. Some of the answers have already driven me insane  :?
