Didn't the TREBLINKA demos get released on vinyl a few years ago? As for BLACK EVIL, that's definitely an album I would have picked up but with the reservation that the vocals would have to improve

Yes, I think there are at least to different Treblinka lp's with their demos on existing, but the sound quality is quite high generation copy-poor on both of them.
The demos would have made a great album if both of them were recorded with the 'Crawling in vomits' sound - The ULTIMATE black metal production :)

He is not the best vocalist of Italy that's for sure, but he isn't worse than, let's say, that of Gunfire or Dark Quarterer. Sounds weak at times, however he sings with passion in a very epic way, sending thus the right ''fuckin' metal'' vibes...

Perhaps american black metal would have been taken more seriously if these bands got some major releases out.
US black metal (past and present):

Demoncy "joined in darkness"
Profanatica and Havohej
VON (there is something I'm trying to dig up from their side project. wait and see...)
Grand Belial's Key "mocking the philanthropist"
Cult of Daath "slit throats and ritual night"
Bone Awl (everything post bog bodies tape)
Goatlord
Black Witchery
Midnight (more hellhammer thrash than black metal I guess)

The US scene gets mocked for that floating through the air black metal garbage that posers like so much.

I don't know if you heard of an american thrashband called mercenary from SF? awesome thrash. they were predicted to be the new metallica back in 1986 but trouble with labels and similar simply fucked it up.

other bands that I think would had made great LPs is Virtue and Scarab. Both of them have made singles that is out of this world!!

Bone Awl seems to be the same bedroom black metal shit polluting california, I'm well aware of the other bands, I'm just saying that if the earlier bands had more recognition they probably could have influenced bands to make better music on a larger scale.

Mercenary was great. Their 4 tracks 1986 demo is incredible !!
I know they had a second demo out the next year, but I've never had the chance to hear it.

Yes, they made one demo in 1986 and one in 1987. The one from 1986 is available for download at their myspace.com-website: http://www.myspace.com/mercenarysf . I think I have both their demos in mp3 format. I'll check it out and maybe I can upload it somewhere for you?

The U.S. band OBLIVION KNIGHT would have made a fucking killer album if they ever got signed. I got their first demo (around 1987, I think) when I was 10 or so from a local record store, and was blown away by the fact there was a Fates Warning styled metal band from my shit town in Alabama. Apparently some of the members relocated to Texas and did a 2nd demo after that, but I never got to hear it. More info is here:

http://www.texasmetalunderground.com/pr ... rofile.htm

I'm not sure why they're on a Texas metal site when the band actually started in Dothan, Alabama, but oh well. I remember having conversations with the bassist when I was a kid and I'm sure I got on his nerves. :)

If the MP3 section of this site ever goes up, I'll be happy to share a rip of the 1987 demo. The sound quality isn't the best since the source cassette is about 19 years old at this point, but I'd love for more people to hear this band that was a huge influence for me at the time.

I don't know if this is the right thread to send this particular post but anyway: A demo-LP that should have been already released is WILD DOGS' "Dead to the world". What the hell happened and they didn't manage to put it out officialy? A1 class US metal which is in the same vein as their "Reign of terror" LP but even better! Unbelievable metallic riffing, amazing vocals with ultra-killer tunes like "Screaming the night away", "Metal free America", "Dead to the world" etc. This is the best thing WD ever made and it's the godamn proof that when the forgers of the US steel take themselves seriously, they are simply unbeatable. Someone release this album ASAP.

P.S. Those 7 tracks are included as bonus in a CD-reissue of "Reign of terror" which is of course OOP...
