TANTRUM - Trenton City Murders (not bad, not as good as i hoped it would be)
IRON HAWK - To The Point (four decent tunes, no more, no less)
WHITE HOTT - Angels In Leather (bad vocals ruin it)
CRYSTAL KNIGHT - S/T
HYKSOS - S/T (epic cover art misleads your expectations)
HIGH POWER - S/T (great guitar work, average vocalist, too bad...)
I don't agree at all about TANTRUM.In my opinion they are many times better than same city HEATHENS RAGE.

And also about CRYSTAL KNIGHT in my opinion they are one of the very best Danish metal bands.I like a lot their style.

Some diasappointments:
AXEWITCH-Everything except the godly Visions Of The Past.

MADISON-Best In Show -gay and very bad mediocre 2nd album.I still can't understand why after the total masterpiece Diamond Mistress followed a 2nd crappy album.

VAULT(Hol)-I expected a great band but this one is not my style at all.

VICE HUMAN-Vice Human avoid it at any costs!I have the original vynil but this one sucks. Not even a single good part of a song.I had high expectations when i bought it but i was definitely wrong. The worst 80's Greek Metal band.

CHROMING ROSE-New World change of a singer, modern sound this one sucks.Nothing like their previous releases.

actually i don't remember so the disappointments.I try to remember the great albums not the bad ones.

As a metal fan you should know that Eath the Heat is the black sheep of the Accept catalogue... I thought everyone knew that. Check out Breaker, Balls to the Wall, Restless and Wild... steel will never be that hot again.
Chroming Rose “Pressure” LP found! :D

Hellhammer is a kick arse song in my opinion though! But yeah got to get Russian Roulette (their best along with Restless and Wild).

SAVAGE - LOOSE & LETHAL was (& still is) incredible!
First 3 WASP albums are incredible, then they go downhill after that... IMO!
I totally agree about SAVATAGE, I couldn't believe what I was hearing when that album came out... then they did it all again when STREETS was released, or was it GUTTER BALLET?? :? (but I now like them a lot!)
ICED EARTH have disappointed me many times when it comes to this topic, I can't bring myself to listening to their new album.
BATHORY - REQUIEM & OCTAGON I remember (unfortunately) verrry well
& QUORTHON-ALBUM, was a total shock...
but the worst...
CELTIC FROST-COLD LAKE ... i was devastated!
and...
SLAYER have done it every album since 'Seasons...
DESTRUCTION-CRACKED BRAIN was a shocker too!!!!

The music is not bad at all, but alot of it's hard rock and way too laid back. I enjoy side A now, but most of side B still does nothing for me
I agree 100%.

I actually sold my copy of this after spending a lot of time looking for it a few years back.

Another 100% agreement.

I never could understand how a band that released such a killer NWOBHM masterpiece, (Power Games) could go on and destroy everything that they had achieved by releasing such a commercial, AOR, piece of shit.

This is another album that I made the mistake of ever wasting my precious time trying not to vomit on while attempting to get through the track list.

Ok I will! Hey, I'm a Metal fan I'm just lazy when it comes to finding out stuff! Got that album for 50 cents somewhere and had never actually bothered checking them out before.

I seem to remember an interview with the band a few years later where they explained how they succumbed to record company pressure and released a more "radio friendly" LP for their second effort. The band members seem to realise their mistake now.

Have to say there have been a few disappointments, and I can understand well people here saying Hyksos and Crystal Knight being disappointing records. I kind of understand not rating Shelder very highly either, but that's still one of my faves. I was originally disappointed by the Ashbury album - after all there's very little metal on it - but now I think it's a very good album.

Recently, the Sarcofagus album Core Values was very weak (sorry Dan, I know you liked it). Also, the recent Budgie album was next to unlistenable, partly because of the general sound of it.

Their management suggested to add the keyboards and play the songs in a more commercially acceptable way. They were young and didn't realise the fans weren't interest in more radio friendly tunes. I think they eventually lost the keyboards because it didn't work out live. Some of the songs on that album were originally much heavier/not made radio friendly on the demo's.

Good call on Hyksos; they should never have gotten past the demo stage with that garage band, Judas Priest wannabe sound. Some awful tunes on that album

It's not terrible or anything it just doesn't seem to do anything for me. I think it's kind of boring. I don't think it's because of the hard rock sounding stuff in it because I like late 70's hard rock a lot. Maybe it's a decent album on it's own but not standing up next to the rest of Heavy Load's material.

I see a few people mentioned Shelder. I actually really like that LP and spent a lot of time tracking down the related Alien LP, and then spent quite a bit on it, only to be hugely disappointed.

I also like Hyksos, but I'm certainly glad I bought the CD reissue instead of the overpriced vinyl!
