At that period, I was heavily into "Shout ..." and "Too Fast ...", I was also terribly deceived when "Theater ... " came out, this album was so weak compared to "Shout ...", I've never bought a MOTLEY CRUE album after.

Well here in Argentina we were forced to listen those bands Ratt,Poison,Rough Cutt,Autograph(nooooo!),MC.The only three cassettes I remember liked it was Shout at the Devil,W.A.S.P(idem)and Hannover(Hungry Eyes)later I discovered their real name was Hannover Fist.
Remember my mother screaming me turn off that diabolic music you have
listening to and Blackie screaming Heeeeeeeeelion. In the cassette was traduced as Helio. And the last thing is I was surpriced many of you grew up with some of this bands.Greetings. :D

"Shout At The Devil" was one of the first Metal albums I ever heard and so it became one of the "reference works" of what Metal was supposed to sound like. Seeing the video for "Looks That Kill" on Swedish TV back then is probably one of my most intense, early Metal-memories. Not even watching old cult-acts live at KIT in latter days can compare to the feelings of Pure Metal Bliss in the mind of a then 12-year-old DaN..

When I got to hear "Too Fast.." I remember I fucking HATED the vocals for being so annoyingly gay & falsetto. The album has grown on me in later days though.

Concerning "Threater of Pain":
I think it was my 5th HM album I ever bought. My mom was giving me a ride back from summer camp and we stopped by the local import record store and I got to pic any record I wanted. ToP had just come out and of course it was my #1 choice. My disappointment came slowly. Some songs I still consider great; "Tonight (we need a lover)", "Keep your eyes on the money", "Save our souls" etc.. but in a way this was my first realization that there really is such a thing as bad HR/HM albums out there :?

A few years later I got to hear some tracks off GGG on the radio and I almost puked. This album more than anything was my wake-up call about how the 80's Metal scene was about to turn very sour..
