A good idea would be to split the compilation in different parts:
Speed metal the American way/Speed metal the German way or something like that, call it european if you don't like German but i think you get the idea.
There are some things that characterize each style, no need to mention them right now, so i think that the split would make them much clearer.

I'd say they're speed just the more melodic German type as speed as Thundersteel anyway.Helm wrote:Whoa, replies! Thank you guys!
Getting the Acid record, I'll definitely have some Exciter in there. No Brocas Helm (HEAVY METAL no matter how fast they go, for me.) Hey, what's wrong with considering Judas and Banish from Sanctuary speed?Tastes, I guess.
No Accept and Judas Priest in general or just the mentioned songs above?
Accept - Aiming High
Anvil - Shadow Zone
Iron Angel - The Metallian
Paradox - Pray To The Godz Of Wrath (Or anything off their first album)
Rage - Down By Law
Riot - Black Leather And Glittering Steel
Risk - Pyromanic Man
or
Risk - Russian Nights
Running Wild - Masquerade
Running Wild - Pile Of Skulls
Warrant - The Rack

"Judas" + "Banished.." = classics. Go for 'em.
Most important addition: "Conjuration of the Watcher" - ORIGINAL SIN. The speemetaliest Speed Metal ever written!
HOLY TERROR - Debt of Pain
SABBAT (uk) - Wildfire
ANESTHESIA - Prelude to Ruin (from the "Norway Rocks" compilation. I'll reupload it later today)

Thanks! Since everybody's praising that album I'm really curious about it.DaN wrote: I'll reupload it later today
Now I don't know if this is a bit off-topic but what songs/bands are closest to mein kampf musically? 'Speeder' Determs what Speed Metal is for me and I love the drum sounds.

Now that you mentioned it.. "Vengeance Of Hell" sounds kinda similar to MK. There's something 'magical' about speeder for me. Maybe it's that amateurish charm, perfect sounds or something I can't explain that made me love it after listening to it few times.DaN wrote:I thought MEIN KAMPF sounded a bit like a poor man's LIVING DEATH actually.

Some more speed recommendions:
Death Dealer - Far And Away
Living Death - My Victim
Reaction - Insane
Is Zadkiel too "blackened" for this thread?

Where's the fun in that?wicked keeper wrote:Just get yourself a copy of Metal Massacre 4....
I was considering something from Paradox, but it happens my favourite record of theirs is 'Collision Course' (Heresy! I know!) and that's pretty much melodic power/thrash. They don't have to be just speed, they have to be songs that destroy my brain, and all that do that from Paradox are thrash songs.
Tension... I listened through 'Breaking Point' again last night when I was thinking about the compilation, and god it's an amazing record, but the fast song in there is the worst! Prowler and Strattson I don't know.
I consider Holy Terror and Sabbat. Looking forward to the Anesthesia song.
I agree speeder is the perfect speed metal song. i could give a shit what the band beleives in or advocates (though it was purely an image. none of their lyrics had anything to do with nazism)
how is it any worse than some of those groups that just talk about murdering people in general?
anyway, my list is this:
Aion - Ma G Ma
Metallica - Motorbreath
Jaguar - Dutch Connection
Vio-Lence - World in a World
