Personally I like 'em both the same.
Bastard Ballads is rawer. God's Gift is a bit more technical too and "cleaner" prpduction.

God's gift is better & more civilised (sic!). One of the coolest English thrash metal cds along with 1st Detritus from the crappy English thrash metal scene...

So now after the whole french metal scene we know that you dislike UK thrash bands (except Toranaga and Detritus) too ?
And what about Slammer ? Deathwish ? early Xentrix and Re-Animator albums ? and there are other bands as well

Yeah, like Onlaught, Sacrilege, Taliön and Sabbat!
I think the Metallica influence is more evident on 'Bastard Ballads', and I prefer it to 'God's Gift' most of the time.

Slammer is a bit on the weak side, but Xentrix thrash is as good as it gets. And what about Sabbat? Seventh Angel? And a lot of OK bands: Acid Reign, Amnesia, D.A.M., Onslaught... Overal this was a very solid scene.
