I guess you hate all albums that borrow riffs from other songs. And surely you hate Led Zeppelin with a vengeance?

Did you know Tony Martin's mom was pregnant of twins, but forged them together during labour to form an even more awesome singer just so that he would inspire Tony Iommi to record some of his best material?
Never disliked Zeppelin. There are other bands from the era that I prefer over them but they certainly have their share of hammers. I also don't have a problem with albums that have borrowed riffs. If I did, I wouldn't have many listening options, possibly none.

As a purist, it's very rare that I welcome a divergence in sound from any band, especially my favorites. It's not so much Tony Martin's vocals that I hate. It's the poofy production, the lyrics about feelings and the overbearing presence of Geoff Nichol's keyboards that really bug the shit out of me. I probably could have embraced and maybe even eventually learned to enjoy the Glenn Hughes & Tony Martin albums if they had been released as Tony Iommi solo albums, as originally intended. Sabbath albums...they are not. Not to me at least.

That I can understand. But for the most part, doesn't the same thing go for the Dio & Gillan albums?

I always found Nichol's keys exceptionally great on Sabbath's albums and especially on Headless cross and Tyr. I'm not a big fan of keybords in metal but on those albums they sound terrific creating a magic atmosphere.

What do you mean by '' the lyrics about feelings''?
What do songs like "Nightwing", " The Lawmaker", "Ancient Warrior", "Valhalla", "Glory ride" have to do with that? The lyrics are awesome and on Tyr there's some of best lines I've ever read.

As for being a different band...same thing can be said about the Dio albums. For me it's still Sabbath. More epic, more metal, more inspired, still heavy and less druggy than the 70's albums.
I am not saying that you should necessarily find those albums better than Ozzy era or Dio, but I really can't understand why you hate them so much.

The keyboards on those albums really add to the music instead of feeling like it was added after the rest of the song was finished and recorded.
