When I was in NZ recently I visited Jim & held that record in my hands.
He also had at least one other MONSTER record I held in my hands for a few seconds...

Hard to say; I thought his Crowhaven LP would easily clear $600 and it didn't even make it to $500. CH is rarer than SX (300 copies vs 500 copies pressed if I remember correctly) but SX is better known and more hyped than Crowhaven. Personally I've never thought 'Winter Kill' was that great; loads of talent on display but I just don't enjoy their songwriting style much. Given the price tag these days, I'm glad I'm not interested

...SINCE THE FIRST THING I DO WHEN I BUY A NEW CD IS MAKE A COPY AND STORE THE ORIGINAL...
Why buy an original then? For the pleasure of looking at it?

I don't know, but many collectors make CDrs of their originals, so that they don't expose originals to damages that could occur while playing ...
How about this one:

no, no my comment wasn't for the price...I have an old "story" with MrDennis..haha...anywayz, know that he has more than one copies and he'll NEVER gonna tell u bout the condition of this"selling" item...
By the way, a suggesting price for this one might be 400-1000Euros..it depends on how lucky you might be...

I bought this at KARSTADT (big "conventional" german dept. store) back then, and they had shitloads of it! seems that ANY vinyl gets rare as hell within 5 years and can be sold for insane prices..
edit - just realised that the aution took place the same time it was released, which makes it even more ridiculous..
