Apparently the BBTAD reissue has made the price of the original EP drop significantly..
I'd rather think the "low" price was because of that huge tear-off on front cover.
indeed looks crappy,my reissue looks way better :P

Yeah, the Street Child had some significant cover damage. Several copies have been offered for sale in recent years, so it's not like this was the first copy sighted in 4-5 years either.

Well, if I could afford for bidding on albums like this I wouldn`t care much about the cover being damaged.

Really? Well if you get some money let me know; I've got a wrecked car that I'd love to sell you for the same price as a new one :D

I was watching that auction and probably would have put in a $500 bid, but I forgot about it. : (

EPIC METAL FAIL :D

If the cover damage didn't bother one, it was a good chance to get a copy for about half the usual price. I've been picking up some other expensive records lately so I decided not to bid on this one- my BBTAD copy will do nicely.... for now :)

Maybe if one day I become rich enough to waste my money on Street Child, Warzwolf etc. I will think of your car as well :D
However, the the record itself looked fine and that the most important thing to me. And I don`t think the lucky winner is regreting the purchase.

I agree, that was a reasonable price for that copy. But I wouldn't pay 'full price' for a copy in that condition. For 'Full Price' you can get a copy in NM/NM, so why pay full price for a VG-/NM copy?

Granted, on Top Rarities, poor condition does not pull down the price as much as it does on a 'common' record. But I think I've seen 4 Street Child's (Street Children? :) ) in the past 2 years alone. So it's rare, but it's not Graf Spree rare or yellow Avatar rare or purple Black Hole rare. For those records, even if a copy isn't in top condition, people will still pay a lot for it b/c they know they probably won't see another copy for a few years. But with several Street Child copies recently offered and the nice reissue available, I don't see any reason to pay full price for a copy with that much cover damage.

And 'discount price' is relative- someone still paid over $400 for that copy even with a chunk of the cover torn off :)

Apocalipsis is pretty much the only mega-expensive Discos Gas title as far as I know.

Crystal Y Acero - Kuman is worth about 25 dollars in EX condition.

Some copies of the GHOST have been selling for closer to $500. They're the new trend, everyone hop on board! I've listened to several songs and personally I can't stand them; total 'gimmick' band IMO
