I'm looking for Aussie ESCAPE-Strike Back Demo 1987(If it exist???)
This is a demo recorded in 1987. As far as I remember, the song was slated for single release, but never did appear on store shelves.

Let me know and I'll upload it.
Weren't those early Riff albums reissued two/three years ago?

As far as I know the reissues are already sold out, or at least that's what I've heard. You can't get them in the music stores from my town, that's for sure, and I don't know how available they are internationally.

I'm quite sure I've seen copies for sale on a few European websities earlier this year, either in stock or with available delivery times. I don't think they're that hard to get yet.

Cool then! Have you heard them? I've only listened to that album complete and liked it quite a bit.

I'm keen to hear more from Escape now. That clip of their anti-drug campaign is fantastic!

Wow! :D
I'd forgotten about those guys, i used to have their split LP with Lawnmower Deth in the dim distant past.
It's only barely remembered, but fondly nonetheless. :)

Yeah, I'm debating buying it, but have only ever heard one track off of it so, I'd like to preview the rest before making a decision.

Just read the review of MONARCH (US) - "As Your Kingdom Falls" LP '83 on Metalpage (can't direct-link)

Seems like something I need to hear. Anyone got it for upload?

My friend Vaggelis decided to upload it on his blog but apparently the link has expired. However, i must warn you it's not anything special. Not even close to the quality of Legend, and most important, far less metallic. I'm not even sure i agree with all those music parallelisms of the review... I liked only one track. I had the chance to see and touch an original copy with my own hands and while it looks impressive, after the first listens, things go

edit: the link is not dead, i just checked it

Cheers for the link! Awesome blog I seem to have missed. It has now been thoroughly ravaged.

...and a Cheers to John too  His review dampened my expectations a bit, which in turn made me appreciate this gem even more. I fucking loved this album! OK, so the title track and "Florida Song" were kinda lame, but the rest was simply awesome 'proto-Metal' right up my alley. And I don't think the LEGEND-comparison was that far-off to be honest - just listen to "Vorspiel/Mystery Of Life"! Great, epic shit fo' sho'. Now all we need is TLoT or PORTRAIT covering the amazing "Sweet Freedom" to give it that extra push into the Doom/Occult-pit of depravity.

I think the opening track was the closest (with a tiny stretch of imagination) thing to Legend. But again the greatness of a "The destroyer" or "The wizard's vengeance" is missing.

Dan, whenever you have a hard time finding an album you will enjoy feel free to ask for a negative review. It will be served cold and i'm sure it will open your appettite :D
