Both Soldier tracks are awesome. Static have one weak and one quite good song, if I remember correctly. Have to listen to my copy again sometime.

i do like the melodic/rockish even "happy" sound of Static, maybe because the catchiness in it?

The Active press has a rarity rating of 2, while the Gold rec. has 4. Is that correct, is the Active press much more common and worth much less?

Yeah the Gold Records version is much rarer, but with the crazy prices the Active press has been fetching lately I doubt there is a huge difference in price.
