Just been listening to Freedom's Rise again, & now Amal & O of H have changed their avatars to the two different covers. Bloody hell!
Uncompromising war on metallic modernism under the dictatorship of The Corroseum.

I saw CYNIC live in Paris last week, I'm very deceived, they've ruined the myth. The sound was horrible, I've rarely heard such an awful sound (even VENOM in 1982 has a better sound), the "Death Metal" voice was sampled.Noisenik wrote:Cynic - Focus ... and Cynic only
Nevermind. If I'd seen that gig I'd probably be crying now. but I'm still giggling and Focus still blows my mind. Tested.omen of hate wrote:I saw CYNIC live in Paris last week, I'm very deceived, they've ruined the myth. He's not my absolute favorite, but he's easily in Top-10. You think i'm kidding when i'm talking about Charles???!!??!Fucking Åmål wrote:I mean it seriously that Charkes is my fave actor i hope you mean it tooION BRITTON wrote:

I think they lost the source of inspiration + they're afraid to do sth more agressive. Vocals on Focus were not particularly DM ones, but still very cool. I've listened to tracks of their last project (forgot the name) and it was pretty in that New Age realm (tempted to quote DaN's words from one review). Well, it's hard to get back once you're used to do crap. Still, if they will release new album, I think it will be good enough to listen to ... occasionally.omen of hate wrote:I'm listening to "Focus" right now, this is still a real masterpiece ... but what went wrong in their heads with this reunion european tour ??
