Joke band doesnt necessarily mean bad band IMO
I like Ammatammen Bas for example, I think the first demo is cool
I just thought Slagmaur were also some sort of a black metal parody. I dont know the music so it can be great black metal regardless of that !

You do know the meaning of the band name, right? I'd forgive anyone for thinking it's a joke band with a name meaning "Battle ant" (or something to that effect).

yes a "Top Item"....... great music (for me) and limited to only 28 copies in red vinyl with this leather cover.....not so valuable like a Slayer "NiteMare on Elmstr. " or a Street Child or a Speed Metal Gods or other really rar stuff but i think not every record must be very valuable to be a "Top Item".....and the record is new....perhaps in 10 years the record is more valuable like today......

this is slow down second wave bm with an abyssic production (or better like in a very empty dome?) and a rather chaotic synth/ambient background , the vocals sound normal/studio, not really like the rest
don't know if I like it, but it's not uninteresting, I like the rather original approach
What I hate is the constant loud hitting of the hi hat. TZZ TZZ TZZ TZZ
it drives me nuts
Why did this work in the Abruptum demo but not here

I heard that CB guy got shot but I dont know if he was in Slagmaur. Doesnt seem so if they got signed to Osmose Prod. recently I think. Or it didnt lead to a Split Up.

That Slagmaur red vinyl is a great issue, i ve got one too.

And its interesting musically if you like twisted black metal alike stuff.

Plus if you are interested of CB guys projects, i suggest that you look for the Kaosritual LP (or at least the CD). Its by far his best and one of the best bm albums from norway lately
