I might be wrong but that matrix area looks like on those extremely well made bootlegs - Master Project Genesis has something similar as I recall and I once had Blind Illusion's The Sane Asylum on Combat with original matrix code, yet that kind of design and I bet that it was a boot. I just found a picture of that one, not the best unfortunately ...

Where did you get that CD? Target boots were apparently made in Hong Kong (the sellers who were selling them were registered on ebay from Bulgaria, USA, anything you can think of). I got Blind Illusion from Malaysia - seller was registered in Singapore ;)

Funny you should mention that sovdat, that Master Project Genesis boot was the first thing I thought of when I saw this CD.... and guess what? Malaysia, registered in Singapore. Guess what else? Seller was also selling that Blind Illusion CD. I guess my question is answered.

So is this a well known scammer? I hate returning stuff and filing claims if the person was unaware they were selling a bootleg (it happens), but I don't feel a bit of remorse doing it to people who are knowingly selling boots without mentioning. And I did notice a few other mentions of bootlegs in his feedback, I should've looked more closely before buying.

Maybe the original issuer still preessed limited quantities of the CD well into the 90'... otherwise maybe it is a boot, but why on earth would the bootlegers put an IFPI there? that doesn't happen with old CD counterfeits.
It looks extremely legit to me, sounds like possibly a re-press??
I have it with the same matrix code, but no IFPI number! That's why I'm thinking it probably not original pressing, but the second re-press...

Yeah but your matrix looks like this right?

That's what every Dureco CD I've ever owned looked like, this one is quite different. And the inserts are crisp and new looking. If it were a DSP repress then it would have the bar code that was on copies pressed after (supposedly) 1992-3. Compounded by the fact that the seller has negative feedback for selling fake DSP Burzum CDs and he was also selling the Blind Illusion boot sovdat mentioned, I think there is no longer any question that it's not legit.

My knowledge of Greek and Cypriot metal is pretty non-existent. Could someone let me know if any of the following Cds are worth getting:

Arryan Path - Road to Macedonia
Equal Vector - Aspectations
Solitary Sabred - The Hero
Dream Devoid - Aeons of Forgefulness
Horizon's End - Concrete Surreal

Cheers!

Was Inquisidor "Sobre Tu Cadaver" released on vinyl ? I know of the CD in 1990 and the tape in 1997 (with crappy new artwork).

Sure was. The couple of times I've seen it the price wasn't very high, but you may be waiting a while to find one.

better check the 2nd Arryan Path CD
Equal Vector is just ok (progressive stuff), Solitary Sabred is Epic Metal with many progressive parts (like Cauldron Born lets say, not that good...), Horizon's End is great, go for it, i guess it can be found cheap????
