Yeah, they are what is broadly called Russian Rock, which include everything from Machina Vremeny, through Brigada C, Chaif, to Zvuki Mu. Krematoriy have several hard-rock songs, but the majority are just plain rock. If you like bands like Brigada C, Nautilus Pompilius, or Neprikasaemie you may like it, else save your cash and steer clearIronBloodBlasphemy wrote:what are they then? They released a demo before that one called "Devil's Sabbath" which is completely GREAT !! Raging Speed Black. There is a boot-CDMetalipeiklo wrote:Yea, the DIV LP "Mein Kampf" definitely takes the price, haha... But they had some early MLP or similar, listened to it once just, which had some good parts. I think "the evil twins" once recommended DIV to me as well.
Interesting question which deserves a lenghty answer. I'll try a little...nabel wrote:I'm interested in lyrics of old soviet bands. Were they just "normal" hard rock/heavy metal stuff? You know, girls, motorcycles, dragons, history etc? Anything about politics, against communism or against western societys?
And what about nowdays? Atleast our western media has given us quite dark picture of freedom of speech in Russia.
Aha !! Okey, they are official re-releases then ?? (I got them from RR)Destrozer wrote:The DIV MCD "Devil's Sabbat" aka "666" is official. At least the ones I've seen. I bought a bunch of them in Russia this atumn and sold them to Peter at Repulsive Records. They sold out pretty fast though...
Magnit's lyrics were borrowed from classic Russian poets. For example, the "Rabotaj" lyrics are from a poem by Alexandr Blok. They also had some Rilke stuff.
do you mean me ? Yes, I got that DIV LP, prefer the Devils Sabbath CD a lot. Some guy here in Germany also sold this Re-Release CD in his mailorder (Metalglory.de) for 8 Euros together with the Kruger - Roschdenijm mrakom Re-Release CD for 8 Euros.DoomofDenim wrote:Aha !! Did you hear that Peter cought the "Mein Kampf" LP ??
The cover art of the "Devils Sabbath" or "666" is among the most amazing I have ever witnessed. Also very inspiring band photos.
Hehe no I meant Peter at a record shop in Sweden.peterott wrote:do you mean me ? Yes, I got that DIV LP, prefer the Devils Sabbath CD a lot. I don't think it's that rare. I paid about the same price as you did and it's an overprice I think (especially in Russia where I got it from).Fucking Åmål wrote:

I had bought it before some months at a shop for 25 or 30 Euro.
Great band though.
this price would be ok for me, it is just that the LP doesn't appear so often. At least not on my radarMetalipeiklo wrote:I don't think it's that rare. I paid about the same price as you did and it's an overprice I think (especially in Russia where I got it from).Fucking Åmål wrote:
