The seller already lowered the price. It was 20000$ at first :?

re: Burzum auction:

So let me see now, I have a BETHLEHEM LP *Dark Metal* which has a mispressed side, i.e. there is not Bethlehem on side 2 but what appears to be some jazz or blues, not even the correct speed - it appears to be a 45rpm pressed onto this record. Rare? I'd say.

Anyone know anything similar?

Hyperrare, it states!
How many kinds of rare are there, anyway? :?

There's been a few similar mispresings over time. Best-known one is probably the Judas Priest live pic disc; some copies have a different artist on one side (I think it's Neil Diamond, but i don't remember right off).
Items like this are neat in a way but only appeal to die-hard completist fan boy types. It's not like you're getting unreleased tracks or something.

Yes I know, the record is actually completely useless to me but I'm sure that there are some out there who would actually desire something like that! Like those misprinted stamps that fetch thousands.

I agree that these kind of mispressed records are a waste. In the 90's I bought some Hawkwind lp and noticed the same music was on both sides. I took it back to the shop to trade it in since I felt it was pointless to have it. The shop owner said "Mispress"?, got a smile on his face and marked the price UP to 4X what I paid for it! I hope he dies with that record in his shop.

A friend of mine has a hardcore record with a B-side that is full of songs by The Cramps.

I have a Polish-pressed VENOM "Welcome to Hell" tape on which you can hear VENOM and Polish dance-music at the same time. Sehr unique! Hyper-rar! Unglaublich!

I remember this one dude back in school keeping an "mispress" of a WHITE LION LP and telling everyone how hellish rarrrrrrrrrrrrr it was..

funny thing was, the sleeve had just the wrong record inside. not wrong music on one side or wrong label or anything - just another LP inside the correct inner sleeve..

Good idea. I'm gonna put my Carnage LP in the Graven Image sleeve, insert the Killen lyric sheet and add the Heads will roll ep as a bonus and put it up on Ebay!
