Want to talk about crazy? Here's one!

http://cgi.ebay.com/MANILLA-ROAD-CRYSTA ... 230fe4499c

(fishy, imo)

http://cgi.ebay.com/PENTAGRAM-DEVIL4-LP ... 230fc6cbfc

Apparently, they are incredibly popular nowadays. The bidding war is now justified, though.

edit: NOT justified!

That's about as crazy as the digipack CD version of The Deluge selling for $1000 a while back.

I knew that Jody St auction was gonna be rough :( There's like a $1,000 drop between 2nd place and 3rd place! I know it's very, very rare, but I'm always surprised how much folks will pay for it and how many want lists it's on. It's a really good ROCK release, but by metal standards it's a pretty commercial-friendly, lightweight effort. If this had been released in the US instead of the UK it would probably be labeled AOR. Personally I like it, but it just seems too lightweight to appeal to enough collectors for it to demand such an astronomical price. Hopefully someday people will realize this and then I will be able to buy a copy really cheap

Exactly...especially any shitty unknown 7 inches do sell for 200 $ without problems nowadays while the music is just average. This just started about 1 or a half year ago. Would like to know why, but in the contrary you can get NWOBHM EP's for an apple and an egg now! :P
Original Metal Mirror for 20 GBP, Requiem for 25 GBP, Triarchy for 11 GBP, Oxym 11 GBP and the list goes on.

...is ridiculous...it's not that great to deserve such a price, it's ok, nothing more. Quite lame on the breast...

There have been 3 copies of Emerald on ebay within the past month and they've all gotten higher than usual.

Some of jackthereaper's auctions are getting pretty high, others are staying reasonable.

What's with the Thor single? I don't know that one. Sleeve was pretty worn

Oh, and I deleted the link already, but a copy of 'Crystal Logic' climbed to $162 yesterday (2 bidders pushed it above $55). There's a blue vinyl copy currently listed. Are the blue vinyl ones legit? For some reason I've always thought they were boots....?
