I've seen Savage Grace yesterday, too but they didn't really "kill". Their gig was okay but nothing too special for me. Flotsam And Jetsam were great and Exciter, too but in my opinion Exciter could also have played some slower stuff, too instead of just playing full speed ahead.
It was interesting to talk with Chris Logue but I had higher expectations somehow. I thought this guy would be a personality but instead he was not too special - IMO (or maybe he was just tired...). So he confirmed that the CD's which will be re-released only will contain the remastered sound, and that this is what he wanted (soundwise). On Amazon you can already listen to the music and I think you can hear the difference. So it's a matter of taste.
I asked him, why he didn't put out the original mixes aswell and he stated that he would like to do so but I wonder, when this will be.
We'll see - or maybe not.

That means I will still need to keep the LPs even if I've got my hands on the CDs.heavymetalmaniac wrote:So he confirmed that the CD's which will be re-released only will contain the remastered sound, and that this is what he wanted (soundwise). The CD cover on amazon says "remastered from original master tapes". That shouldn't be bad.

Well, from what I heard on Amazon it didn't sound too bad but through a PC speaker it's not really something you can count on. I will buy these CD's anyway although I still have the originals. It wouldn't have been a bad idea to re-release both versions. It's really a pity.mega_lodon wrote:That means I will still need to keep the LPs even if I've got my hands on the CDs.heavymetalmaniac wrote:So he confirmed that the CD's which will be re-released only will contain the remastered sound, and that this is what he wanted (soundwise). Just to make it clear, I never said anything about KIT. My links are from their recent gig last week at Sofia, Bulgaria on April 1stLama wrote:@ Stormspell and Mex :
Oh yeah that's correct! That gig on KIT last year was horrible!
Remastered or not, I'm going to have some copies of those re-issues for my distro.

Better stop skywalking or the fall might be hard!!Don't inflict yourself with great expectations just to enjoy it in case they turn out to play great or not to be disappointed in case the gig is a total mess....Hope they are doing better each time they play, but it's been long since their golden years. The Greek show was a mess due to mr. Logue mainly, but that's 'cause they were a band I had decided I will never watch playing live and the news of these show were like a revelation to me.So,don't make the same mistake and better keep your standards low. There should be t-shirts for sale surely,at least they had a few designs here.....Deathrasher wrote:Anyone who attended the previous shows, was there any SG merchandise available? Can't wait, only a week left for the gig in Helsinki...

I was told they had two Master of Disguise t-shirt models at Bulgarian gig.Deathrasher wrote:Anyone who attended the previous shows, was there any SG merchandise available? Can't wait, only a week left for the gig in Helsinki...
