+1, I almost never buy reissue CDs but I'd definitely grab that one. I have no interest in paying hundreds for the original.

And have an extra $600.00 USD to spare?

If the crappy Avanzada pressing goes for $600 I'm sure the Greekos will include it in their next batch, never fear

It wouldn't be an identical bootleg though.

It's been listed twice on ebay in the last 5 years and the last auction jumped from $190.00 - $600.00 in the last 20 seconds of the auction...

Avanzada pressings are junky about as much as the Greek turds, so no difference in my book.

with same reason, i don't like japanese pressing. i prefer the originality than the quality (some japanese pressing has poor quality though) but some people love japanese pressing more than original one. i think it may be different if Avanzada is japanese label. the difference between japan and mexico, that is so sad.

Well that was my point. Identical bootlegs are even worse then home made ones.

Plus, this label was based out of mexico...

Wow gigadeth, my experiences with Japanese CDs is that they've always been awesome quality, usually better than domestic pressings. Strange.

And with the identical Greek boots, well at least you know that the sound is the same and they're made from original CDs. Homemade junk boots are usually MP3 sourced or really terrible vinyl transfers.

I sold my copy of the Deluge a few months ago for $75. Now I think I got ripped off, ha ha!

Yes, but worse in the sense that people try to con them off as originals for the first while.

Gazillion of those Greek bootlegs are from downloaded mp3s and lousy cracking vinyl rips...

Deluge and Open the Gates are screaming for decent re-releases. Hopefully it will happen sometime soon.

And his other auctions went well above as well:

http://completed.shop.ebay.com/apoisont ... c=1&_rdc=2

That one's crazy too, although it seems to be very hard to find with OBI:

One from the hard rock field:

http://cgi.ebay.com/MAMAS-BOYS-s-t-32XB ... 5d280cb9fe

And I hope that noone bids on that one as it is the '03 reissue ;)

Hell, I've heard a few official Greek reissues that sounded like lousy cracking vinyl.

Actually, the ones Dragonheart and Underground Symphony put out a few years ago were pretty decent. Problem was they never bothered pressing more copies and the prices you see on ebay are the result of this.
