Axecrazy- I don't know about the boot, but i have an orig. copy of Manic Frustration on cd; if you need #s off it or something let me know. I bought it 7-8 years ago and i don't think it was bootlegged until much more recently.

I want to know if anybody can say if this tape is a bootleg. Is supposed to be the official brazilian print, and I know it has the Neat Records logo on it, but it looks very cheap and it says "Venon" on the tape, as you can see.
(oh, and the presence of my 'zine in the back is just coincidence
)

(the pic is too big, so I decided to put a thumbnail, just click it for the full pic where you can see more details)

Very hard to tell until you get the thing in your hands.AxeCrazy wrote:I'm trying to fill in my Trouble (US) collection. I know that Manic Frustration has been bootlegged. Copies show up frequently on eBay. Does anyone know how to tell a bootleg from an original? Thanks.
I would only try and buy it if the seller is saying 'ORIGINAL', otherwise it's bound to be a boot.
There are a few different pressings of all those albums so it's really hard to tell!?
I got orig CD's of them all if you need numbers?

Korgull: I don't think SATAN has been bootlegged, but if you see a copy on colored vinyl, run away. A lot of nwovhm singles got put out on colored vinyl boots on 'Phoenix Records' maybe 5-6 years ago. They're nice if you want a cheap vinyl copy.
SA Slayer : 'prepare to die' got bootlegged onto pic disc I think. There are also unoffical cd reissues, but maybe legit cd's by now too...?
No boots of the Heathens Rage EP except the cd anthology 'the years of rage'.
Axecrazy- I have orig cd's of 'manic frustration' and 'plastic green head' that I'd consider trading if you're interested.

I was wondering the same thing as well.nightsblood wrote:SA Slayer : 'prepare to die' got bootlegged onto pic disc I think. There are also unoffical cd reissues, but maybe legit cd's by now too...?
I've recently seen a Prepare To Die CD (not the split bootleg) release of I think 2000 limited copies and was wondering if it was a legit release or not.

Yeah, I'm not sure about that version. Maybe someone else knows...?Avenger wrote:I was wondering the same thing as well.nightsblood wrote:SA Slayer : 'prepare to die' got bootlegged onto pic disc I think. There are also unoffical cd reissues, but maybe legit cd's by now too...?

Thanks, but are you sure that this is the original? Does your copy have a blank booklet or does it have ads for other Scratch releases?Avenger wrote:USDM 4013 MH #880534 13358-1sovdat wrote:Yes, the original on Scratch
According to a very trustworthy old collector (some of you may know him as invocator2k from ebay), the bootleg matrix starts with USDM. I'm still waiting for him to give me the matrix of his (For now he just said "The Angel Dust bootleg has a matrix number that starts with USDM, and indeed a blank booklet.") ...
All I know is that Apocrypha's Forgotten Scroll bootleg also come with matrix that starts with USDM (USDM 4600, original has APCY-8036).
Is there a way to tell the difference between the official CD reissue of Satan's Court in the Act and the bootleg? I got my copy about a year ago at Metal Haven in Chicago, and the last time I was there, I saw they had a "classic metal" section, which was mostly bootlegs. That made me wonder about what I had.
