Apocalypse (UK) 7'' and Apocalypse (UK) Demo!

Post by Dirty Rocker »

Since the RIP that's circulating on the net is such a bad one, I decided to do a rip myself. I have a very small problem with the ripping though.. The volume is a little low on the rips, and I can't do anything about it I think. But turn up the volume a little bit and it will get your head banging since it's one of the best NWOBHM singles EVER!

Also, I uploaded their demo from 1981.

They later changed name to Omega and released a LP in 1985, called "The Prophet".

Enjoy metalheads!

Am i the only one who finds the OMEGA LP many classes superior to the APOCALYPSE material? Had heard APOCALYPSE's stuff before, but their tunes couldn't move me at all. It's metal heavy, doomy, dark but these things alone not enough, so i cannot say that it's a phenomenal case of NWOBHM. The songwriting is really not that striking IMO. I don't reject a future change of opinion, but for the time being things are as described above.

I don't know why, but I have never heard the Omega LP. :? But I can't agree with you, the Apocalypse single have everything in my eyes. It's Heavy, Doom, Feeling, lyrics, attitude etc. Both songs is flawless. As I said, it's up there with Hell, Tyrant, Arc, Stormqueen etc.

Though, the taste is like the butt as we say.. 8)
