They certainly would. In the plastic waste processing plant, they have these machines that either cut of drill hundreads of cds at one goal. The ones at the top are 100% doomed to degradation but those from the middle below would certianly survive from their horroible destiny (The machine cus at a very high speed). That's initially the way how ppl in developing countries get thier hands on metal cds. I have never seen a cutted LP in my life before, I guess they would break up easily.Helstar wrote:Wooooot ? I have many cut off inlays but never seen a 'cutted' CD ! How did it not broke into pieces anyway ?!
If you have ever been to China before, you will notice that Jap cds are extrmely cheap and sometimes, you can find some real gems with rediculious price on the order of cents to less than 2 dollars. Cuz normally the ppl opening the shops are lazy bastards and never got into collage, they won't speak English nor understand a thing about cd versions. That's how you can dig up super rare Jap cds at a incredible awesome price if you can keep a poker face during the purchases lol.

I guess this is partially how pricekiller001 got some of his Jap CD Inventory befre they got shiped into a developing country.

Even those drilled cds survive. I got a spreading the disease one myself long time ago.

Unbelievable... cuts/drill holes were really common stuff in Italy in the 90s but I've never seen such a damage on the cd itself, if one of those came in my hands from those 2 notorius italian mailorders I would have trashed it directly and ask for a refund (even if the average price was from 2 to 5 euro each cd lol) ...

S**t, they have them in Italy as well? Guess those plastic waste dealers got smarter and instead of actually damaging the discs, they go for the inserts. I occasionally saw them in Australia second hand store as well but they are quite rare. But russian cheap shit pirates are common I guess in everywhere.Helstar wrote:Unbelievable... cuts/drill holes were really common stuff in Italy in the 90s but I've never seen such a damage on the cd itself, if one of those came in my hands from those 2 notorius italian mailorders I would have trashed it directly and ask for a refund (even if the average price was from 2 to 5 euro each cd lol) ...
Yeah, that would piss me off as well. To hell with those cheap bastards. And by the way, don't get me wrong, but those Jap CDs I was talking about ain't drilled or cutted, most of them are intact with obi attached like pricekiller001's stuff. I wouldn't spend 2 to 3 A$ for such copies with disc damage as well even if it is something like ADX - Suprématie the original press.
Please don't misunderstand me, as I am not promoting cheap shity cutted / drilled plastic rubbish here, as I am only talking about it cuz sometimes, ppl were unaware of thier existance. Even a promo cd with drill / cut-out / pinole is as good as a roll of toliet paper to me, cuz nowadays, you have mp3s helping you to decide whether or not you love the music . (And that's why I don't get the auction dude discussed before, who buys cds first to listen, and sell them if he doesn't like the music. Are those cds he bought super rare and cult, even mp3s are not avilable?) Besides, you don't get any actual values for these cheap copies. So, if I like the music and don't want to spend too much on these originals, I would support the band by simply buying a re-issue instead. In fact, I would like to keep both the original and the latest remastered release ,for the considreatio of both the value and the sound quality. Cuz like the DCC copies of metallica , someitmes they really do have an ass kcking sound quality but of less or NO value for collecting for die-hard fans.Avenger wrote:ZZZZZZZZZ.......
Is this guy for real?
You can't even trade a promo for a roll of TP in a supermarket, if the staff don't like Metal they ain't gonna give a shit. lol

Buy the way, for those who's running a label or distrubution, I got a question for you. In generanl, for a rather underground band, in most cases they only got certain amout of cd copies from their record label to sell or trade for themselve other than cash payment. If they are lucky, they may get some equipment updates. But do they get any payment if say another label reissues their cds after the 1st press releases were out of print? I thought the later only purchases a liscence from the former record company other than paying the band. If this is actually happening, buying reissues wouldn't benefits the band that much other than spreading their music wider and keep it alive for longer period of time before everyone forgets about it compeltely. How about the case with more mainstream bands like assassin for instance? They definitely get paid everytime ppl re-re-...release their albums, right?
You talk too much, even more than me dude

It's so surprising that it went for 125$ when he had on 'buy it now' for a month at 95$ and nobody buying it...

I share these doubts. I have never seen this press until I quit in 2003. But I hadn't seen also Impact so...Korgüll wrote:This guy has tons of copies of the Morbid Saint... still no one is quite sure how original this copy/press is??
If I'm not wrong Kreator72 has said this AM pressing appeared suddenly in 2005, with also the notorious Cyclone AM reissue (btw nobody bought it at starting price of 25$).
Of course it's really suspicious that this mexican seller has tons of SEALED copies of Morbid Saint, I mean wtf all those sealed copies, after 19 years ?!
I asked for Impact and he doesn't have one opened even for himself... how come you have all those Avanzada sealed cds and not that one, even if used =) ?
I prefer to keep the Grindcore pressing of Morbid Saint in my collection ^^ !

Guido Gevels himself has confirmed that they licensed Inferior to None to Avanzada back then, so that one is legit even if it seems sketch. People on this board have also confirmed that the Morbid Saint CD was existing in the early 90s. It is not so unusual for someone to find a box of unsold copies of rare CDs or LPs, this happens all the time so I don't know what makes this so suspicious?Helstar wrote:If I'm not wrong Kreator72 has said this AM pressing appeared suddenly in 2005, with also the notorious Cyclone AM reissue (btw nobody bought it at starting price of 25$).
I'm not saying anything bad about kreator72 as he definitely knows his shit but it is possible that a couple went under his radar.
Well it's not only Kreator72, I was there, and also Yetisued, Invocator, and many others ... nobody remember seeing this AM press on eBay (but as I've already said nobody had seen Impact too ^^ so it could be the same case).perishinflames wrote: Guido Gevels himself has confirmed that they licensed Inferior to None to Avanzada back then, so that one is legit even if it seems sketch. For Cyclone I'm even more sceptic, because it is known Avanzada closed its doors in 1991, so how the heck this cd is supposed to be a 1992 reissue ?
