LEGEND (USA) - From the Fjords

Post by FenderMedium »

I just thought I would share this I Requested this directly from a guy over at Hellride Music forum he said he purchased a cd bootleg and I wanted to hear how it sounded, it seems vastly superior to the vinyl rips that are going around, but still a bit scratchy, listen and let me know what you think of the quality on this one.

This is not tagged though sorry.

Thanks for posting this. I used to have a copy of the reissue but I sold it several years ago and, for some reason, didn't make myself a copy before mailing it. It's an ok album but not a personal favorite at all.

This link has been dead for a while now, so here is a new rip! I used the bootleg CD and it is @256Kb.

I fully agree with this statement.

Rather average album with too much hype considering the price of an original...

I still think it's a dazzling album.

I think this one is rather special too, but it does have some moments I could do very well without. All in all, I'd never pay the sums demanded for it, but I like it enough to have bought the mid 90s bootleg LP for more than a normal LP should cost.

I really love this album, it has a very unique ancient and doomy feeling that makes me completely melt!

I just listened to it for the first time yesterday and left a good impression on me. Quite heavy for 79, I was expecting more hard rock/psych stuff. Very cool

Awesome, cultsy album. If only those boring doom bands would sound like this.

This particular album was one of the first "great unknowns" that this forum revealed to me. I think I can sincerely say that I love it, even the goofy parts. Legend managed to create an enthralling atmosphere, of proto-metal beauty, ahead of their time.

Needless to say, an official re-issue is desperately needed. Unfortunately, the deal with Rockadrome went south.
