Band has some pretty good songs. As for me liking the artwork... Well you know I'm picky haha

I don't like it no, it's just a band photo, framed with an ugly stone-like background, with the title in an ugly font, and the band logo up top in a different colour... I'm sorry but what is good about it? Obviously my idea of what looks good severely clashes with other people's, and I often wonder how it can be. What is aesthetically pleasing is personal opinion, and ANY design will always have its fans - but just like the consensus is that certain metal simply is shit, in the eyes of those with more experience etc., well when art and aesthetics have been a part of ones life since childhood then it certainly provides a slightly different onset regarding what works and what doesn't, and not thinking everything is amazing.
I've thought about it quite often, it's always strange to face opinions so different to one's own that it's impossible to see where they are coming from(yes I've moved on from the Raid art by now heh). Old bands get together and release records with the most terrible digital shit art, contemporary bands extoll the 80's yet the art that 'graces' their releases couldn't be further from the spirit they claim to be perpetuating - and I can't understand it. Same thing with a few labels releasing old stuff - where is the spirit? Even if everyone told me I'm being stupid etc. I couldn't stop feeling the way I do - and the thing is I'm really happy when people succeed, I don't want to constantly put things down. However this realm of metal that this forum embraces; the more underground, the more forgotten, it naturally puts you at odds with the general metal populace - I have to say I often feel disgust for the average meathead 'metal' fan with all their BM shirts, Matrix metal outfits or extreme shit, Wacken posers and what have you - well the point is that metal music is, though similar to many other interests, something that divides into us and them so it's nothing out of the ordinary to have disagreements over things, it's just 'funny' that regardless of how far down you go, now talking about this cirlce of underground metal that there's still lots of disagreement, but that's nature, you break things down to smaller and smaller parts, and still you end up with electrons and protons so it's simply natural order.
