MAELSTROM(CAN)-'Waiting For My Woman' 7" 1986

Post by daniel »

Private release. A 10/10 single for me - quite clean material productionwise and otherwise, melodic, but I love it. Somehow the music really fits the cover, because despite the lyrical themes the music is quite 'mystical', it takes me to another place. I ripped it at 320kbps. I'd post pictures but I can't find the cable to connect my camera to the computer, things are in boxes as I'm getting ready to move, but when I find it I'll post photos.

Thanks for the upload!

The buyer of the recent copy was me by the way. But it hasn't arrived yet, so this is the first time i can actually hear it.

And a nice plushy background you have there :D

This is awesome, I looked up some info on them because they seem familiar to me, I think I might have a demo or a track on an old canadian comp, I'll have to search it out. Thanks.

That would be amazing if there were more tracks! Pretty strange that there's no mention of who the vocalist was.

What is it you don't like? Certainly better than that single in your avatar...

It's not my all time fave single as well, but that depends on individual taste.I just found Maelstorm totally uninspired and without any personality in their songwriting, sounds like an unsuccessful attempt to be commercial. In general I think it's not at least interesting, can't say it's bad music, but nothing significant you shouldn't miss.....of medium quality, but that's just my opinion i expressed

Pretty ok, sounded a bit like Damien Steele which i love. Could be a bit rawer for my taste though.
