Yes,I believe they are playing with Warning SF and The Ghost Next Door.Who's the buddy that will be in town?I can maybe show him/her around to some local record stores. There is also mention of a dinner provided for an extra cost.
I'll grab a burrito instead.

I think he mentioned running into you at a Brocas Helm gig last time he was there. (Erik, balding black hair, Maiden-maniac..)Buried By Time and Dust wrote:Who's the buddy that will be in town?I can maybe show him/her around to some local record stores.

For me this is one of the years best. The tracks actually sound really well with the slick production....great band and certainly 1 of a kind in terms of what they were doing back in the early 80's' I was hoping for "digital mousetrap" but the deadly new versions of stuff like "blue flames", "such is life"or "manmade machine" are just super!! Great release!!

I finally heard it today. Although I'm not a big fan of the band generally, I can't say that didn't I enjoy it. It must be one of the very rare occasions where the rerecordings are true to the old versions, the band hasn't become modern or anything, they simply went into the studio and played the tracks with much respect to the originals.
To my ears the material leans more towards the more commercial side of RUSH, but I can also spot a few early RIOT elements especially on "Deadly Weapons".
If you're searching for lethal skullcrushing metal this is probably not for you and even if the album drags on at a couple of lighthearted balladesque tunes, it's quite enjoyble as a whole.
More than anything else, this album is a lesson of how bands should rerecord 25+ y.o. material.
