3 frightfully obscure Colombians

Post by DaN »

Here's the rips of 3 old Colombian vinyls I knew absolutely nothing about until last week, when they trickled down into my collection crates by a sheer fluke..

ARDOZ - s/t MLP '91
Just skip the awful opening ballad and you'll get some pretty decent classic Metal from the town of Cali. Crap pressing quality, crap production (mono?) but remember where you saw it first.

NASH - Line Of Fire 12" EP '83
Me + friend thought this was pretty awesome early-nwobhm stuff a la Samson/Tygers, until we noticed all the songs were covers of absolutely dreadful bands.ImageStill, close your eyes and pretend it's for real...

PERSEO - No Es Tan Sencillo 7" EP '90
Now this is actually pretty good "US Metal"! Great production + playing (for a Colombian band anyways) and you gotta luw that cover art.

Includes hi-res scans of all covers & inserts.

Dan is on a roll!
Many thanks for this Colombian special. Seems interesting, I'm curious about the awful covers. Let's see if I recognize some.
Edit: Oh, I thought they were covers of South American bands, that would've been fun.
Perseo is my favorite of the three. Decent riffing, but I don't like the vocals.

I've only heard PERSEO which is quite good. Will check out the other two. Thanks!

Perseo is great, they even had a videoclip for "Una Voz entre la Multitud": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBUfpM73hos

I haven't listened to NASH or ARDOZ, could anyone reupload any of those two?
