I heard these awards are fake objects or replicas in most cases. Anybody has more info ?

Who cares!?

RIAA have nothing do with Metal music. They simply give honour to any artists (rap, pop, hip-hop, etc) who can sell tons of records. In fact, Metal should not be associated with any kind of stupid award. Over 95% of my fave Metal bands have never earned a single award in their music career.

Yeah, maybe one day eBay can give awards to artists whose single record hits US$1000 mark.

why stupid awards? when a Metal band get a Award for selling over 500.000 copies or 1.000.000 copies i think that is great for the band, they have do a great job.We talk over Awards from/for Metal bands (Metallica, yes in the 80's a metal band

)....Master Of Puppets is one of the best Metal LP of all time ...or Slayer (Reign In Blood Award) Iron MAiden (Live After Death ect.) ...all great bands with , i think, great musik......when a record collector can get a Awards from his favorite band who is present to a band member i think that is great stuff for his collection.....perhaps your musik is "underground" musik or musik from bands who have only published on LP or EP in their career.....we will never find awards from Leather Nunn, Street Child or so.........thats fact
