Hmm, well I need fast and agressive music in my car. Definately no doom metal, and no low-fi demo's (because in a car with all the background noise it easily turns into a wall of noise).

Some CD's which I've been playing a lot in my car lately;
Dead infection - Surgical disembowelment
Desaster - Hellfire's dominion
Acridity - For freedom I cry

For car I use selfmade compilation CDR:
Solitude Aeturnus trx, Grotesque "Spawn of Azathoth", some newer Satyricon trx, some Slayer, Candlemass etc

Spontaneously out of my head comes:

Dinamit - Mindörökké (S/T & Á Hid on one CD)
Pandora's Box - P.Box & Kö Kövön (on one CD)
Bible of the Devil - Freedom Metal
Adramelch - Broken History
Judas Priest - Point of Entry
Pentagram - S/T (Relentless)
Manilla Road - Crystal Logic
Iron Maiden - Killers
Life - Life (early Swedish prog rock/pop)
Trettioåriga Kriget - I början och slutet (more Swe-prog)

(I realize I need to get Denim and Leather, Breaker, The Unexpected Guest, W.A.S.P. and Heroes, Saints and Fools on CD)

I don't use any originals in my CD changer, that's for sure.

Just some self made CD-R's with my favorite stuff like OMEN, FATES WARNING, IRON MAIDEN, ect.

And why not some Doom Metal? That helps keeping the speed in an legal area.

Some that often go road-tripping with me:

Misfits- homemade 3 CDR set
Social Distortion- sex love and rock n roll
Wuthering Heights- far from the maddening crowd
Hibria- defying the rules
Crowhaven- emotional adjustment
Impeccable- live on the rox
Virgin Steele- invictus
Running Wild- black hand inn
Masterplan- aeronautics
Dragonforce- sonic firestorm

Not the most cult list, but I prefer fast, catchy music that keeps me awake and alert (and that I can sing along to  )

Really? Never worked for me. Maybe some Warning would do the trick. :)

My car top 10 wouldn't differ from my normal top 10. I just (randomly) pick a few CD's from my collection to take along each trip.

Of course! Stand for the Fire Demon! The bestest soundtrack to half-asleep wheel-turning through the misty mornings of northern Sweden on the way to another day of work, work, work and no play at all!

Doom metal does work in the car too! Some favourites being Pentagram - Be Forewarned and The Obsessed - The Church Within.

And of course Black Sabbath!

The Mini EP is great for obvious reasons. Seen these guys about 10 times as they are from my City.
