Calhoun Conquer - Lost In Oneself - Trippy prog thrash akin to Voivod and early Mekong Delta.
CALHOUN CONQUER - Lost In Oneself (1989)
Yes, this is good techno-thrash, not every song is a standout one, but then, almost no band in this idiom achieved this besides originators Watchtower. If you like your techno-thrash very dry, almost new-wave-ish (I don't mean '... of british heavy metal' here) with a heavy urban post-modernist depression vibe, do give it a listen! This is in a roundabout way, close to industrial metal. Only good. Another similar band is Megace.
I also have "And Now You're Gone!" if anyone wants it.

Hm, this was kind of interesting. They remind me of Omnitron a little bit. I'm not sure if I like it though, it's rather alternative-sounding.
Could you clarify what you mean by this? Particularly the "only good" part, because Ministry's The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste and Psalm 69 are approximately one gazillion times better than this.Helm wrote:This is in a roundabout way, close to industrial metal. Only good.

I haven't listened to this CC album, but Psalm 69 is indeed unbelievable. It's almost a 10/10 album for me. A track like "TV II" fuckin' crushes!

I mean that this album (especially the first 3-4 tracks, which I understand were the most recent the band had done) hit an emotional state close to the dejected urbanity that Godflesh or Ministry attempted on their standout material.
And I say 'but only good' because I don't find Ministry or Godflesh, even in top form, able to keep my interest for a full song let alone a full album.
