I love that Madd Hatter album, quite obscure sounding early US metal. I'm glad I got an original when they suddenly turned up years ago.

More:

-'Attack From Downunda', Australian/New Zealand comp., Confessor, Knightshade, Stormbringer, Strikemaster etc. I noticed a skip at the end of the great Tokyo track that I forgot to fix, sorry about that. And the second Stormbringer track is missing since the vinyl was messed up, but it's a really crap track anyway. The highlight of this compilation is Stonehenge's 'Warlords', which is the same as 'Burning Love' from their EP with different lyrics.
-Blackwych - 'Out of Control'
-'California Metal II', Christian metal, some shit, some good, the reason I bought this in the first place was because of the 2 outstanding non-album tracks by masters Emerald. Check out Mastedon's 'Get Up' it could be straight from some mid 80's 'Rocky' rip-off haha, training sequence of course!
-Crisis - 'Armed To The Teeth' EP, very strong.
-Dark Age - 'Dark Age' EP
-Messiah Force - 'The Final Day', French-Canadian Speed Metal heaven with insane solos.
-'Metal Maniaxe' Ebony compilation, features Miraj's 'Trapped' which I think is the MOST obscure sounding NWOBHM I have ever heard, magic.
-Pacific Metal Project, Heir Apparent, Myth, Mistrust, Ransom, XINR etc.

No Australian bands on that comp, just mostly good NZ ones!

Heh sorry :)

More

-Maxx Warrior - 'Maxx Warrior' EP, second track is weak but all others are winners.
-Sabre - 'On The Prowl'
-Satan Jokers - 'Les Fils du Metal', top 5 best French metal ever.
-Satanic Rites - 'Which Way The Wind Blows', quirky private NWOBHM with female vocals, title track rules.
-Talon - 'Neutralized'. I used to like the German scene much more years ago, now there are a lot of bands I find quite bland, but this one is up there with Running Wild and Stormwitch!
-Tension - 'Breaking Point'
-Voodoo Child - 'Adrénaline'. More great French metal.

-Torture - 'Terror Kingdom' EP

-Vulcain - 'Rock 'n' Roll Secours', debut by France's answer to Motörhead, actually better and heavier than Motörhead in my opinion.

-Our Haunted Kingdom/Electric Wizard split 7"

-Westfalen - 'Westfalen' EP. Really average EP but I like it for the great track 'Eagles Kingdom'.

Don't know if it's ok to put up Lust or Graven Image, haven't yet...

Both are easily attainable re-issues, so I'd recommend passing on those.

Hi Daniel, just a quick comment, as much as i appreciate you taking the time to upload these records for us, you might want to check to see what has been posted here already to save you ripping and upping records that most here willl already have, such as Sabre and Tension which have been posted here before in higher bitrates.
I know how long it takes to rip and upload stuff, so i hate to see you take the time for records that probably won't get many d/l's in return.
Also as you're ripping @ 192kbps (no complaints on that score - that's fine for me!), you should be aware that a lot of the stuff you've upped has been posted @ higher bitrates on my blog which is frequented by many here (Dark Age, Pacific Metal Project, August Redmoon, Witchkiller, Obsession, Parasite etc.), so it might be worth cross referencing to see what's up there first too. Just so your posts get the d/ls they deserve.
Sorry if i come off sounding negative or ungrateful, honestly, that's not my intention. As i said earlier, i very much appreciate it, i just think that people are more likely to appreciate stuff they haven't heard before. As you seem to have a large and varied collection, i'm sure you've lots of stuff that many of us would love to hear. Hope i haven't disheartened you with my suggestions, as i've enjoyed hearing a lot of the stuff you've upped.
Best wishes.

Thanks Daniel, great work! I downloaded some albums to listen to at work, as I don't listen to any mp3s at home. Voodoo Child, Cassle, Saint, Heathens Rage and Excalibur to start with. Thanks!!! - Sami

Took Vulcain off.

That's ok Kit, I didn't take it the wrong way. Actually it doesn't bother me much either way, some things I've checked some things I forget, a lot of the things I rip cos I want to have rips of my own records to listen to and not some random files of the net. I couldn't be bothered to do much the last few days and have to return the turntable on Saturday anyway...

DARK HAZE - 'Five Years' EP

SCEPTER - 'Rise To Power' - I remember John posting a photo of this and Rob wondering what it was, cool cover... but crappy Christian AOR, so you know never to be tempted haha. Well I find the first track quite entertaining.

HIGH POWER - 'Les Violons de Satan' - Nowhere near as good as the first LP, 'Rebelle' and 'Heavy Rock' are good, and the title track is beautiful and great, if only the whole LP could've been as good.

'Heavy Metal & Live' - Finnish compilation recorded live in Tampere January 1981, RIFF RAFF, BOULDER, HARDROCK SALLINEN, FRANK BADDERS, FREEZER

ENGLISH DOGS - 'Metalmorphosis' EP

TYAZHOLI DEN - 'Flight' - Russian metal.

MEFISTO(Swe) - 'Megalomania' demo
- 'The Puzzle' demo

Don't know if RATA BLANCA - 'Rata Blanca' is ok...

CD Rips:

COLD MOURNING - 'Looking Forwawrd To Reason' demo
- 'Frostbit' demo - two of the best Doom Metal demos.

SAMMOHAN - 'Saint of Blasphemy' demo 2005 - great metal with the ex-drummer of MINOTAURI.
