Sorcery - Stunt Rock

Post by Glockose »

Just got this in the mail (haven't listen to it yet) to see what songs are on it

A picture disk with what appears to be 3 songs (the same) on each side

Does anyone know anything about this??

It came in an original gatefold cover but is a Pic Disk.

I have the album downloaded and it has 10 tracks but this says it has 11 tracks. Its pretty good hard rock with fantasy lyrics.

The dvd of this movie is getting an official release in anamorphic wide screen in Australia soon with a US version following in a few months from a company called CODE RED. I'd wait for those for anyone interested in the actual film.

As for the music - its classic 70's hard rock along the lines of Purple/BOC/ et al. I have the official soundtrack on cd that was put out by a subdivision of Akarma a few years ago. King Fowley also did some SORCERY stuff on his Old Metal label with cooperation from some ex-band members. Careful with the SORCERY 2 cd though - I like it, but its nowhere near as heavy as the "Stunt Rock" material (more sort of heavy AOR).

John, I've only seen that original picture disc once, Andi found one in a junk shop when he was in San Jose about 7-8 years ago.

Never checked this Sorcery band until now. I think they are from California. Right? Any chance to give a try?
