Not really related to your auctions, however, I am rather impressed by your collection.

There are a few CD's in there that I'm rather jealous of as I've spent a long time looking for/lost for huge amounts of money in past auctions.

Opprobrium is not worth $5 (that's why it's a bonus) but Serpent Temptation I've seen go for much more than listed here! I only ever saw one batch of that album when I used to sell it in the mid-90's, and I think most of those were for promotion?

Funny story about Opprobrium, when I was doing distro a couple of years ago, we had about 70 copies lying around that we could not give away! So we got the go ahead from Nuclear Blast to 'write them off' & they were all destroyed!!!! haha!

It's a shame to hear that story about OPPROBRIUM because musicwise it's an excellent Death Thrash album really in the vein of what INCUBUS did before.

I know, it's a pity...

I offered them to retailers for $2 each & buy 10 get one free & still no-one wanted them...

Having worked summers in a retirement home kitchen I can say a lot gets wasted. For just 120 elderly we easily threw out 4 garbage bags full of food every day, 365 days a year. For hygienic reasons everything that has been in contact with the inhabitants has to be thrown away, even if it comes back to the kitchen unopened (like puddings, yoghurts,...)

Guess I'll sell my copy soon then, and buy the vinyl version instead. Got the CD for €8 from a friend some time ago. I recently found one of his old sale lists in my mailbox, he sold off all these now-super-expensive death metal CD's (Pyrexia, Rottrevore, Altar/Cartilege,...) for close to nothing some years ago. Too bad I was still 'in the unknown' about that kind of stuff back then.
