the big distros have it here too but for a shitload of money. just pre-ordered 2CD version, will see if regular vinyl will show up one day.. I don't have anything against CDs in general, it's more the inconsistency within the collection that annoys me.. I have all Priest albums on vinyl except Angel of Retribution, but with that one already breaking ranks - what the heck.Black Axe wrote:It also seems you could only buy that deluxe boxset in America. My sentiments exactly. I want to have the discog of my fave bands in ONE (1) place, not scattered all over the roomsagrotan wrote:I don't have anything against CDs in general, it's more the inconsistency within the collection that annoys me..

I'm ready to pay up for that vinyl version, given some Swedish distros/stores have been able to preorder some copies, but in general I think JP's "anti-vinyl" stance of late is their greatest blunder since "Johnny B Good"

It could be worse...DMR wrote:I really like their version of Johnny B. Goode. I think it's a hell of a lot better than anything on Angel of Retribution (except for Judas Rising).

NO! Triple-wrong! "Turbo" was great - barely a weak song on the album, JBG was and abomination and "Angel of Retribution" was a worthy comeback that has grown on me a lot recently. I'll WELCOME a vinyl bootleg of AoR if that's what it takes.Avenger wrote:It could be worse...DMR wrote:I really like their version of Johnny B. Goode. I'll clarify that "barely": Parental Guidance and Rock You All Around The World the rest is pretty good, Especially the kick arse solos.DaN wrote:NO! Triple-wrong! That's the only decent song on that album...Nicko McBuff wrote:Reckless is one of the best 80s Priest tunes, if only they had allowed it to become the Top Gun theme!... thats the track right?

SETLIST WARNING!
Helsinki setlist:
- Song from Nostradamus
- Metal Gods
- Eat Me Alive
- Between The Hammer And The Anvil
- Devil's Child
- Breaking The Law
- Hell Patrol
- Song from Nostradamus
- Dissident Aggressor
- Angel
- Hellion/Elecric Eye
- Rock Hard, Ride Free
- Sinner
- Painkiller
-----------------------
- Hell Bent For Leather
- The Green Manalishi
- You've Got Another Thing Coming
Great gig, rockin set. Second song from Nostradamus was almost doom, quite good actually. Dissident Aggressor and Rock Hard, Ride Free were highlights for me. And really heavy version of Eat Me Alive! More thoughts about it later, now work.

Me and my brother saw Priest last night, fantastic show... Halford was in MUCH better form that I was expecting and used a lot of high range, the set list was very similar to what nabel posted but I'll post again out of order...
Sinner
Dissident Aggressor
Hell Bent for Leather
The Green Manalishi
Metal Gods
Breaking the Law
The Hellion/Electric Eye
You've Got Another Thing Comin'
Devil's Child
Rock Hard Ride Free
Eat Me Alive
Painkiller
Hell Patrol
Between the Hammer and the Anvil
Angel
Dawn of Creation/Prophecy
plus one other song off Nostradamus, overall amazing gig one of the best I've ever seen for sure.
Because I was right up the front (well three people or so away) and the tallest there I managed to make myself as tall as possible and point at Glenn and make such a facial expression to get him to let out a chuckle, smile and point back. However ridiculous it sounds here it was an amazing moment haha.
