Funny how the A-side could have been totally unlistenable if it weren't for the rrrrrrrrraaaaw guitarsound. Now it's just a neat rocker a la Sab's "Technical Ecstacy".

"The Wall" on the other hand.. words escape me. For the moment I just can't think of a more BRUTAL Heavy Metal song from the year in question. How the hell did this song happen?!?! Even if better HM songs have been written both before and after, no one can deny the historical value of a piece of music like this. My inner Metal Archeologist just pissed his pants!

Lol, best line i've seen here in a while.
After Dan's positive feedback on this one, i've gotta give it a try.
Thanks for the upload!

The singer reminds me of Randy Jackson (Zebra) but mixed with this kind of music it's just brilliant. Thank you! Wow, 1979!

by the way I noticed it is 1979 on the label itself but 1980 on the sleeve. So if you see any disparity in the date this is why.

Funny you should say that DaN, i found out that Squadran's ex-guitarist now has a band called Shockwave, and on their website there is a pic of him with Tony Iommi, and he reminices about being present in the studio while the band recorded the "Technical Ecstasy" album!
Obviously he was paying close attention to Iommi's amp settings.
Apparently he auditioned for OZZY's band after his departure from SABBATH & for the job with KISS when Ace Frehley left.
I must say, the Squadran 45 is excellent, i love both the songs.
A pity they didn't record more material.

Just listened to this yesterday and was very impressed, not just good song writing and a very heavy B-Side for the time, but fairly unique...
