Rattlehead14 is Jim, glocknose's partner from OPM Records. Super-nice dealer. His ebay items tend to sell for top dollar and then some most of the time. I wanted to bid on his copy of 'Poisonoise' but the bid got above my price range. What little info i could find suggests it typically sells for around $150. I would have given more than that for his copy, but the bid climbed over $230 and i did not want to go that high. Good for Jim, bad for me; it's a seller's market these days.
Re: the Savatage, at least 1 copy has sold for $750, although I think most people consider that pretty ridiculously high for it. The way vinyl is selling lately, I don't know if you could get a copy in NM condition for under $500 any more. First copy i saw was in the mid-90s and sold for $212 and i was told that was a ridiculous price at the time

Sov: At least some are coming from his collection.
Glock: yeah, things only have the value that we assign to them, and I just don't assign $230 to 'Poisonoise'
I'll certainly survive without owning it, and i do not begrudge nice sellers like you and Jim getting great prices for your records.
One does have to remember that there are always more fish in the sea. Great example: last month Jim had a 1st pressing of 'Lightning to the Nations' listed on ebay. I bid $200, and it sold for $300. Later that same day I won a copy in comparable condition for $140

What I meant with "you get what you pay for" is the comfert of knowing
1) the condition is top notch
2) if you have a problem it will be fixed
3) your item will arrive packed well and on time
4) these are ALL originals
5) a very safe and friendly transaction that is Guaranteed
as for the DH white label. Jim had a gig flier with his copy and for whatever reason I think that had a lot to do with the price. also the condition.
Now he has a Heavy Load - High speed LP on too me it is already too high at 200 BUT you are guaranteed it IS original and it has the RARE poster.
As the auctions state most of these items now are from his collection
The stuff I am selling as Lildogtoo as still the over stock from here in the USA

Glock- Oops, sorry, misunderstood your ealier post.
You're absolutely right; Jim (and you) have spent years building your reputation as reliable, trustworthy, and nice dealers, and I think that definitely helps your items bring a premium. I would have bid about $25-50 less for LttN and Poisonoise had they been offered by most dealers besides you two.
Yeah, the gig flyer certainly did not hurt the DH sale any
The copy I bought didn't have a flier of course, but it did have 1 band member signature on the cover, which Jim's copy had no signatures on the cover (supposedly the signatures are much more common on the second pressing relative to the first). Personally I'm happier having the signed copy that the flier, so it all worked out fine for everyone.
I also agree that his Heavy Load album is already rather high, but as you said, it has the poster with it and it's coming from a rock-solid seller. Not one I'm interested in buying, but I will be interested to see how much it sells for.
