Hey many thanks - I was only curious because of the fancy square-picture LP. I'll check it out

Glad to help Knell, i think Azra Records did those square pic discs quite a lot, i used to have one a long time ago, although i can't remember which band it was, Elessar possibly.

Yeah, Azra did a ton of goofy shaped releases.
I checked this one out; not my style really. Too polished/'party metal' sounding. Still cool to get to hear it though.
Was Takashi also released on the Mongol Horde label, or am I thinking of something else? I know Virgin Steele had some releases on that label.

FYI

Takashi were alright. Being as early as 1983 their "party-metal" was slightly heavier than later versions, but it's probably the weakest Mongol Horde release.

thanks for the label link Dan! I used to have all those VS titles but traded them away years ago. Didn't realize Thor had a release on Mongol Horde (and you're right, that's gotta be the coolest label name ever!)

I don't know about that, Alien's "Cosmic Fantasy" runs it pretty close at times, even though there are a couple of songs on that which i really like.
