Prowler - 1984 Demo NWOBHM

Post by AxeCrazy »

Here's the 6 track demo from Prowler. This has been requested in the past, but I've hesitated to post it since there were rumors of an official reissue. Since that doesn't seem to be happening, I've finally ripped the tape. I know there's another thread for Prowler, but I didn't want this to get lost in that thread.

Enjoy!

very cool, thanks! Just to clarify, this is the Prowler that released the 'forgotten angel' and 'alcatraz' singles, and NOT the Prowler that appeared on the Brute Force compilation (unless i'm mistaken)

The band doesn't really approve of this being spread, can this be removed?

We must respect their choice, but can someone from the band come to tell us that?

EDIT:...or PM Dan if he doesn't want to post in public

Can you tell us who is releasing the CD and when?

I don't mean to be rude, but you have very little credibility with me. I went out of my way to send you a couple of tapes. I'm still waiting for the CDRs you promised. You've ignored my emails. It's been almost a year now. At this point I really don't care any more.

I'm very skeptical of ever seeing CDs from Prowler, Arc, Lotus Cruise, even Desolation Angels. I don't see how spreading the demo is hurting anyone.

Thanks to AxeCrazy for posting this, I've been wanting to hear it for many years! I'm not sure that I'll ever be able to hear it other than this. I won't pass it on anywhere until it's clear that the band are o.k. with it, but that's a bummer if the CD is no longer in the works...this band certainly deserves an official release!

The Desolation Angels CDs will probably still show up, but I have my doubts about some of those other NWOBHM re-releases that have been promised to us too.

I also promise not to re-circulate this unless we get an official 'green light'. It would be cool to see a CD of this band's singles and demos, but I stopped holding my breath for such releases a long time ago :)
I recently (1-2 months ago) got an email from Jih Seymour (sp) of Mendes Prey in which he mentioned they (MP) are also hoping to put out a CD of their old material at some point in the future. I still need to hear their demo and 2nd 7".
