I used to have that Baphomet album on a tape when I was still a teen.
I only remember that I liked it and that it was old death metal.
Alright, might pick it up then, if I don't have too many other expenses.

Can anyone provide pressing information (year + how to distinguish them) about the different picture disc pressings of these albums:
Kill 'em all
Show no mercy
Black metal
Was the Bathory s/t ever pressed on picture disc?

This is the only picLP of Show No Mercy that www.slayerized.com lists:

Show no Mercy Metal Blade/Restless 72214-1 Picture Disc 1987/USA.

Anyone know much about Finland's RIFF RAFF? All I know is what's on Metal Archives, and that I really like their 'no law 'n order' and 'give the dead man some water' albums. The former sounds kinda like Bon Scott era AC/DC, while the later is more metallic in the vein of some OZ albums like 'III Warning' and 'decibel storm' (though not as OOT as 'fire in the brain'). Thanks for any extra info on them!

nightsblood: Riff Raff are classic, Grade A metal. The second LP 'Robot stud' is the one you most need to hear, total Accept/AC/DC worship but in the best possible way. I really love 'Give the dead man..' as well, even if it's a bit more melodic than the first two LPs it still has a special charm.

Beyond that I don't know, they're probably all computer programmers or something these days.

Give Dead Man... is a classic in finnish metal! Not a full ten out of ten, maybe 8, but I still love it.
Haven't seen those vinyls in ages at 2hand stores, should have bought those first two back when you could get them cheap and easily. Damn! (Vinyls are overpriced here in Helsinki area atleast.)
Robot Stud and Give Dead... were rereleased as CD's few years ago.

thanks for the info. I didn't know any of their stuff had been released on CD. I haven't heard 'robot stud' but I'll keep an eye out for it

SAVAGE DEATH has released two demos "Crucified in Hell" and " Mass Genocide", raw death-thrash is their style, it's raw, aggressive and primitive, killer band !!

Do you want an upload, Sten ?

SNOGGEL is pre-RUBYCON. I don't think they were a very serious band. The only reason some material w/ this band is circulating is because one of the old RUBYCON-guys has been into tape/cdr trading for ages (up until a few years ago) and leaked some of their old tapes to people wanting more RUBYCON-related material. Hardly the finest moment in fwoshm-history imo. (Snoggel that is. Rubycon were great!)

Thanks for this info !! It's true that RUBYCON is way better than SNOGGEL !
