No, not the '80s thrash band, but rather the great band that released the awesome "Symbols In Stone" in 2001.

Anybody else a fan of these guys ?

There have been many bands coming out nowadays that try their hardest to sound like the epic metal giants of old. Most end up sounding too modern, sounding too weak (as if they didn't have enough 'grit' on them), or just plain lack great songwriting. ENCHANTER is one modern band I feel avoids all these pitfalls.

Their songs have the same special magic, their guitar the same gloomy, moody tone, their solos the same instant recognizability that made bands like MANILLA ROAD, ANGEL WITCH, OMEN, COVEN and others so special. The album gets a little atmospheric and '70s towards the end (though it remains excellent), but cuts like the first two ("Atlantis" and "Dark Rider"?) and the very last one worm their way into your subconscious...

I have to agree with about everything you said! Symbols in stone is awesome album! Have to get their new one asap!

What is their new one?

I know they have a 2002 release, but it's a hidden one they don't offer to sell.

Yep,I'm a fan! Symbols in Stone is a great album but there had been some better Enchanter in the past...somewhere in Michigan!
