Steelix (Possibly US?) demo tape. 1987?

Post by malegys »

Steelix 4 track demo tape here. Melodic Heavy metal/Hardrock with some killer lead guitar work. No idea where they were from (i'm guessing the US, but they might be from Europe too judging by the goofy song titles). 4 tracks in 18 minutes. I've also restored & mastered this for optimum sound quality. If anyone has any info about this band, kindly get in touch. Thanks.
TRACKLISTING :
01. Go Motor Go
02. Huggy
03. See
04. Main Street of love

Sounds great. Obscure demo and band. For my ears this is north-american alright.

Thanks a lot for this upload !

Does the main riff of the first song sound quite a bit like 'Verbal Razors' from Exodus or is it just me??

you're right, pretty much the same riff... but played much more tight and powerful by Exodus.
Good but not great demo though. Thanks for spreading it out to the metal world...
I have been outta here for some time, maybe some folks remember me, maybe not...
Now back in the game here - I missed you - cheers
