MORBID DEATH were a strange "Occult" metal band from Missouri (There's like 8 bands that shared the same name) & they recorded & released just one demo tape & this is it. VERY rare & obscure, hardly anything to be found on them online. The guitars & vocals sound thrashy, but the tempos aren't really that fast at all, but the gloomy & dark atmosphere gives this tape & unique feel. The tape starts with an experimental ( & instrumental) guitar piece & then goes into proper metal territory. Great stuff! 3 tracks in 14 minutes. Ripped , restored & mastered from a 29 year old cassette tape : http://www.mediafire.com/file/dql4r0nw1 ... .+1987.rar

Thanks a lot.
It was on my wish-list to listen.
For me - this is Thrash allright.
Too bad the source for your recording wasn't good enough in my opinion.

Hard to describe the style they play, maybe BLOOD SPILL from Texas sound somewhat similar. I cannot think of something else to compare it. As the band's first effort it shows some potential, but it's not adequately developed and it doesn't grab your attention immediately either. Thanks for sharing it.

Sounds interestingly odd. I'll give this a go.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Sounds very tempting to give this a try. Never heard of Morbid Death from Missouri. Thanks so much. Witchlord(US/NJ) were also another occult heavy/ power metal band from the 80's that stood out from many others.
