Avenger 1984 SP METAL I (1984/LP, 2002/CD) II (1985/LP, 2002/CD) The 2 parts of this compilation are some of the best Metal releases worldwide and should be part of any good Metal collection! Sadly most of the bands included did never manage to release a full album, but all of tehm deserved it!! The 2 LPs were released by the "Baratos Afins" label which made the best traditional Metal albums in the mid 80s (a CD version of both albums came out in 1999). The first part, which came out in 1984 was something like the ignition of the big scene that developed in Sao Paulo! SALARIO MINIMO and CENTURIAS released here their first 2 great songs each (all exclusive), and AVENGER and VIRUS were also great killer bands which played raw 80s Power Metal.

Bass player Luis Teixeira seems to play today in the Prog band TARKUS!
But sadly this was their only official released material. The pictures in full leather and spikes outfit appeal to any true Metal lover, and make you wish to have been there in this time to see this guys live!
The second part keeps the same high standard. Only KORZUS made later albums, and still exists till today. But this 2 Power Metal songs are the best music they ever have made, as they continued with rumbling Thrash and later with modern brutal sounds. From the other bands PERFORMANCES is slightly weaker as the other bands, but still has an high level. But the other two ABUTRE and SANTUARIO are absolutely Metal highlights!! Nobody really can understand, why this killerbands were not immediatly signed! They delivered superb Power Metal, that blows away hundreds of bands that could release their stuff. Photos of them, see in the introduction at the end! Finally in 2002 the 2 records were released again in CD!
