THEATRICS - DECEIVED CHILDREN 7''

Post by Dirty Rocker »

I was at a friends house helping him out with his site about swedish music and took the opportunity to bring a couple of singles to rip for uploading here for you folks.

Here's THEATRICS 7'', also released on the BME Records and Tapes label. Also this one is great, especially the a side which is a real cracker. You can hear alot of NWOBHM influences even on this one. A bit melodic with synth but still very heavy.

Thanks for rips Patrik.I like THEATRICS a bit more than TORA ORPHAN (but of course BOTH 7"s are KILLER) because "Deceived Children" have unpolished and more Raw sound and vocals.I like also modest use of Keys because it makes this single sound a bit different than majority of similar releases. And for a year 1983 it sounds very heavy.Take in mind there were not many great USA 7"s back in 1983.

This picture doesn't scream metal ,haha.Looks like powerpop band.

The title track is outstanding, kinda early Power Metal! Extremely heavy for 1983! Good Ep though the B-side is a bit weaker, but not bad either.

I saw this a while but just downloaded it. Great stuff!, I'm in the 10th time or so playing it. Side B is a good track, but side A just kills it! Too bad it's IMPOSSIBLE to get this one.
