Bootleg Warning Thread - CD (2012)
Also does anyone know anything about Tyrant (US) Brainstorm Division edition bootlegs? I read on Metal Treasures that there are such bootlegs. Does it mean Brainstorm Division editions are bootlegs or just that there are bootlegs of those editions?
Also I read somewhere that the Old Metal edition of Hammer "Contract With Hell" is legit! Is this true? Also what about the Backwater reissue?
Sorry for so many questions at once.

I don't know about BD, but there are identical boots of the Art of Music editions of both Legions.. and Too Late.., it's the ones that had the hidden bonus tracks at the last track.Zdan wrote:Also does anyone know anything about Tyrant (US) Brainstorm Division edition bootlegs? If that is true there will be shortly even better bootleg, undistinguishable from the original pressings ...Warepire wrote:As I said in my post on the previous page they are a member here. The Art Of Music/Brainstorm Division are actually the same ones - they have both logos on the CD's. When did those boots actually come up? I both my copies around 2000-2001.ION BRITTON wrote:I don't know about BD, but there are identical boots of the Art of Music editions of both Legions.. and Too Late.., it's the ones that had the hidden bonus tracks at the last track.Zdan wrote:Also does anyone know anything about Tyrant (US) Brainstorm Division edition bootlegs? As for the Mania scan - thank you! I will double check when I get from work. As for the Griffin bootleg I have to scan it differently because the quality is horrible. Will work on it.

No, I think they came up at least 3-4 years later than that.Zdan wrote:The Art Of Music/Brainstorm Division are actually the same ones - they have both logos on the CD's. Cool. I know mine are okay then. Any differences between the original and bootles or are they totally identical?ION BRITTON wrote:Zdan wrote:The Art Of Music/Brainstorm Division are actually the same ones - they have both logos on the CD's. It would be better if you ripped the vinyl . Sound on First Strike is very bad.George A wrote:Hello

I was also disappointed with other resissues. They sound pretty bad. Although the idea for reissuing these awesome albums is great , I found pretty annoying that you didn't make some effort to make these cd's sound best as possible. This way they sound and look like some cheap bootlegs. Opportunity missed and what's more people are giving money for these cd's.
Just ask for a proper scan from one of us. I'm not basing opinions off partial scans anymore. I learned my lesson from the Aggressor bullshit last time.emperor.zola wrote:So this must be the original: Exumer martixTroma wrote:I also almost bought a Pyracanda CD buy it now for 20€, until I saw that the seller also had those mausoleum classix for sale.
about the exumer, there was a small discussion in the musik-sammler forum
a member asked the seller of the exumer bootlegs and this seem to be the matrix codes of them
Possessed By Fire : 887529 x-727
Rising From The Sea : 10007 P+O - 0981-A 02-88
the original matrix of Possessed is
880529 X 720 B
The "B" in the matrix is hardly visible, if I remember right.
By the way, I'll be listing an authentic copy of "Rising From The Sea" on ebay in the next couple weeks.

There's no such thing. There is always a way to tell. People need to start asking for pictures instead of numbers around the center ring of the CD.caminantenocturno wrote:If that is true there will be shortly even better bootleg, undistinguishable from the original pressings ...Warepire wrote:As I said in my post on the previous page they are a member here. Re: Dealer - cd
The problem with this is actually that most of the albums we are talking about are fairly obscure and most people jump at a chance of a legit reissue because they know it is not very likely that another label will do it with better packaging or sound. So they buy what is available and are happy.akira wrote:It would be better if you ripped the vinyl . Sound on First Strike is very bad.George A wrote:Hello

As for the Tyrant Art Of Music/Brainstorm Division bootlegs I did some digging around and apart from a few ebay listings and Metal Treasures database I got NO info on those. Are they truly identical? I was hoping of hunting down the Brainstorm division pressing of the first Steel Prophet album but that seems to be bootlegged as well.

I don't own the originals, but the boots seems like very identical ones except for some blurring on the artwork.Zdan wrote:ION BRITTON wrote:Cool. I know mine are okay then. Any differences between the original and bootles or are they totally identical?Zdan wrote:
